I told you to take LOL.... but of course robos are never as nice to handle like syrians.
Now my house like syrian house liao.
Today tried breeding my syrians. I got 2 females on heat but damn picky with their suitors.
1 sable banded female doesn't want any of my males to breed with her. Ok lah, her suitors are all handsome hammies, got 1 big cinnamon, got black banded, 1 long haired umbrous and another smaller cinnamon. She didn't want any.
2nd female was so damn funny. She is a solid mink, short haired. What happen was that she really liked the black banded. Stood still for him with her butt up for mating. The black banded mated for like 2 seconds then he got no interest in her anymore. She stood still for him for another 5 minutes but he never showed interest. Then ok lah, change suitor.... give her big cinnamon.... he was too excited that he mated the wrong way.... the umbrous also never show interest. Sigh..... all the colours compliments the female's colour but none also successful. Will try again tomorrow hahaha.

Guppy tank, biggest is 2 feet lah.... If want bigger, then maybe you need to custom make one or get a glass tank.
Anyway, what Sophiera is doing is good for the environment. Recycling hahah. Good job!
Anyway, I also did sprouted corn sprouts, sunflower sprouts and wheat sprouts for my hamsters before. I left some old bedding in a container under the rain for a few days and many little sprouts came out. Hamsters love it. These are good treats, rich in minerals too.

You can sprout corn. Say you get a packet of dried whole corn kernels, not the popcorn kind ah.... if needed, get those for planting. I would just pick out of my hamster food, throw in a pot and let it sprout on it's own. My hamsters like the sprouts but I only do it once awhile.

QUOTE(UNDERGROUND @ Jul 30 2008, 10:54 PM) Don't knows how to describe the shop, 1st glance from the outside already know the shopkeeper is lazy & LATAK... Went inside even worse... Anyway, my friend got his hamster for only RM7, i got mine for RM9 Both of them get Cinnamon Banded, both female... 1 of my friends got a crazy syrian, scream non-stop from the shop till his house and put in cage also scream, then finally he can't stand it took it back the shop for an exchange Is not crazy... it is scared to death!!!! Syrians only scream when they are terribly afraid..... this is normal when petshops handle them roughly.

Whoa.... alot to catch up..... anyway, stay tuned people, hamster gathering is in planning session now at a great new place. Will update soon.
Someone asked if can feed marmite or not...... the answer is NO...... it is full of salt..... it can kill a hamster..... well, not immediately but it can cause harm in due time.
About beans.... limit it.... coz beans produce gas in the digestive system.... and I think hamsters cannot burp, so it can lead to bloat.
Also, food by Sing Song is crap food.... do not get. Super low quality corn and grains.... stick to Prestige or other good brands.

Hamsters do not have periods.... only a few animals bleed when on heat.... well, for one, that's dogs..... but for humans, we are not fertile when we get period while dogs are fertile during their heat. Hamsters just produce a scent to attract another hamster for mating during their heat.
As for bloody looking stains, it can be in labour.... but is it nesting? If it is not, it could be something else.
My friend's WW died from blood clotting in the rectum. It passed out blood from it's butt, then it was jelly like. The hamster then died from it.
