I bought it from Pet Shack. Initially bought for them to drink to reduce the pee smell, now they are not drinking anymore with eating smoothie, so use it to spray on smelly places. I think most of the pet shops have it, it's use for all pets if I'm not mistaken. Try look at the dogs section if you can't find it.

Err... ok , its skin also smelly, cos the smell not only at their fur but if you touch their skin, your finger also will be smelly. Kuaci will cause them smelly? This I don't know. I only know if they eat yogurt, their pee will be very smelly.

You can leave them for 4 days by providing enough food and water for them. Do not give fresh food as it will get rotten after a day and it can attract ants and grow bacterias and it is bad for your hamsters. If can then clean their cage before you leave, so that they won't get smelly when you come back. Make sure the cover or lid is closed and safe to avoid them from escape.

Added on July 24, 2008, 1:54 amSound like my SamSam. I just take the wheel out and pour everything out and he know what to do. Then we gotta clean the wheel every week. Also need to soak in vinegar and water once a while to remove the smell. Or we spray Oxyfresh on the wheel after we clean it with soup and water.

Yes, only dry food. Can't help for squeak. You not around to hear anyway.

Then you also can spray Oxyfresh after she gave birth la. Can't disturb her and the pups. Your staple food also contain kuaci already. Do not give a lot as it wil make the hamster to be obese and not chubby. Try to give her some other treats. Make her toilet train, she pee in the toilet sand and you just change the toilet sand then the whole tank won't smell already. Pee is the only thing smells.

Syrian can eat a lot la. Hahaha... If your syrian is like our JackJack and Kiko who eat 2 tablespoons/4 teaspoons a day then 350mls can finish within 2 weeks. I bought 3 350mls packs, feeding 4 syrians, now all 3 packs only left half of the container after 12 days. They finish 3-4 packs of 350mls containers in a months times.

Found this funny testi in one of the 'famous' hamster sale thread. I wonder this person who bought the hammies will come here and ask for help after some time or not? Or ask how to tame his hammies or avoid getting bite. But surely he will experience 'buy 2 get dozens free', good luck to him. Smart people who buy hammies after reading so many bad comments.

Try putting your camera further away from the hamster and take. Then the focus should be on the hamster and not the background.

I heard that before because TimTim (my mink banded boy) was like that when we bought him back. Keep screaming and wanna bite. Take us so long to 'calm' him down. He stop screaming after 2 weeks. Now still not 100% tame yet, but already can pick him up from the tank without him trying to bite.

You can start feeding vege and smoothie by now as they are already 12 days old. You can even start feeding smoothie by 7 days old. Now they can already take solid, means can feed fresh veges already. You can really see the size growing everyday. You gotta get a bigger tank for them also as I think it would be too cramp with 11 pups and 1 mama syrians inside.

If they do not like mealies, then no point forcing them to eat it. Some hamsters are in poor gene, no matter how they eat or what you feed, they can never grow. And on top of that, hamsters do not like died worms. You do not need to use knife to chop the head off, just use a forcep and hold the worm by it's head then squeeze it, the 'juice' will come out but the worm is still alive but weaken, your hamster should be able to try and eat it. They dare not eat cos some of them maybe scared of the worm.

HAHAHAHA.... My JackJack got gang already. JackJack also like to jump from high place to reach the top of the tank trying to escape in his ZooZone2. I can even hear the 'pop' sound he made when he landed from his jump. Smart syrian we have. Be careful as they can really jump very high.

Looks like you gotta prepare more tanks for the babies also. The female will become aggressive most probably she is pregnant and she will be defensive against anyone. To separate them one by one is because of solitary, not so much of inbreeding though. Try to ask Nezu for the mama diet (smoothie) for the female before and after she give birth. You also gotta think about re-homing the babies as it's not easy to keep all of them well if your financial is not allow you to do so as you need to keep them alone in one tank and provide them with suitable accessories like wheel. You can keep both your male and female together before this is because their instinct for solitary starts around 4 months old, after that they will start fighting and from 2 months they will start mating when they are sexually mature. Lots of complications if breed frequently. Advise you to read about breeding in the first page in this thread to make yourself more knowledgeable in breeding and how to take care of the mama and the pups after this. Good luck!
