Cute pups! Looks like cinnamon bandeds and sable bandeds.

Nezu feeds smoothie by 10 days old right? So you should start. Maybe you can get a decent sized hamster adult later in life. Hweheheh...

Well, if you're room is not really big and not much things on the floor, just wait some 15 minutes and it's bound to come back out.

hey guys
my baby hamsters are already 3 weeks old
was wondering when can i separate them from their mother
i don't want another accident and get more babies

You should seperate the babies when they are 4-5 weeks old. I usually do it in mid or end of 4th week lar.

Have you sexed the babies?

Don't need to beg. Just ask. And my hamsters are opposite of yours. My robos used to run away from mealies. All of em end up clearing the centre of the cage and hiding in plastic houses when they see or smell a mealie.

With my syrians, t's love at first sight. No beheading necessary. My Roche loves to dip her mealies in the smoothie before eating too.

hmm.gif maybe you can try cloaking the smell with vege. Like chop it up finely and place it mixed with your chopped vege and fruit. If they eat then ok lo.

Next time I go I'll inform you k? sweat.gif And don't call me jie...

I think the head has a slightly bitter taste so your Button don't like lo.

@kmao: Yesh, many weak gened (such as inbred robos) will never grow big no matter wat good food they get. They only shrink after a while.

Kmao it is actually quite hard to tell. If you can find a good specimen of robo, you can make a nice comparison. For me, the real results whether or not they're inbred can be seen when they're about 1 year old.

BTW congrats on tricking your hamster. Maybe your syrian just doesn't wanna take from you? tongue.gif

Superworms are bigger tha mealworms and also darker in color.

You can buy mealworms fr RM 1, and a lot at that. The shop owner will scoop it for you and put it in a bag. ]

Superworms must be bought in square plastic containers. About RM 8 a box, I think.

Jamien, is my hamster inbred? She looks kinda odd from other WWs
*
Hmmm... She looks old. tongue.gif

I dunno much about WWs and can't say if she is inbred. but I do think she has a genetic problem of some sort. The pinkish skin, the fur quality. And what looks like a lump?

Having serious genetic diseases can be a sign of inbreeding. At least I've seen seriously inbred robos with all sorts of diseases and lumps even with very good care.

She should have been healthy when she was born (since the mama hamster didn't reject her) but looks like this now.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter if she's inbred. They still make good pets. It only matters if you're planning to breed her. Plus you're giving her a very good and comfortable home.

Even if she was inbred it doesn't look too seriously inbred (if I judge it from a robo hamster's point of view) besides the bump.

I give my syrians 5 mealies a day. I focus more on vegetables and fruits. BTW Roche's ass got so big. And her size too!

I give my robos 1-3 mealies a day. But not all of em take since most run away when they see a wriggly thingy. biggrin.gif

I feel that mealies is more like a treat than a necessity (for robos) because I made a healthh comparison for robos who eat vege and mealies and those who only take vege. Health wise, they're both about the same but those that take mealies is a lil bit chubbier. But if the robo is a big eater he can also reach the size of a robo eating mealies WITHOUT eating mealies.

And my robos prefer boiled egg. biggrin.gif

Maybe your syrian wil slowly learn to love mealies without the tau foo. biggrin.gif

Her fatsoso are bigger than many of our hamsters. But I can see Roche's great increase of size after taking smoothie. Definitely good stuff. Roche's size of course cannot compare with a fatsoso, but is better than many petshop hamsters dy.
