Added on July 17, 2008, 9:34 pmAh.... I never mention silicon cat litter.... that is a different kind of cat litter and it is harmful for hamsters coz it sticks to cheek pouches and into the genitals....

We taking about the normal cat litter type, which is the grey sand type like hamster sand, only it is meant for cats. Got clumping and non-clumping.....

Er... Boiled chicken? They serve that to their hamsters OCCASIONALLY in foreign countries. Many people feed mealies to their hamsters wat. Nothing happened. My Ferro also eats mealies and you can see him yesterday sleeping like pig so nice. Roche also looks chubby and healthy ma, right?

Really shocking news. Sigh, Ocha was a very handsome sable banded. RIP to him loh. Poor boy, from your description, he could have suffered a stroke.... 2 things in my mind. One would be heat stroke and one would be normal stroke. Heat stroke normally the hamster would be wet around the mouth and neck.... normal stroke no wetness but it usually is seen in older hamsters.
Cooked chicken and eggs. The crickets and mealworms don't cause such deaths wan....

Now my house like syrian house liao.

Today tried breeding my syrians. I got 2 females on heat but damn picky with their suitors.

1 sable banded female doesn't want any of my males to breed with her. Ok lah, her suitors are all handsome hammies, got 1 big cinnamon, got black banded, 1 long haired umbrous and another smaller cinnamon. She didn't want any.

2nd female was so damn funny. She is a solid mink, short haired. What happen was that she really liked the black banded. Stood still for him with her butt up for mating. The black banded mated for like 2 seconds then he got no interest in her anymore. She stood still for him for another 5 minutes but he never showed interest. Then ok lah, change suitor.... give her big cinnamon.... he was too excited that he mated the wrong way.... the umbrous also never show interest. Sigh..... all the colours compliments the female's colour but none also successful. Will try again tomorrow hahaha.

lol yes, if we put alot alot of fresh in. they don't drink also   and always remember Nutri-Smoothie had NO WATER ADDED!! every lick is nutrition yummy!!

i hope the Omega 3 & 6 serial will be available this sunday in Pet Shack! will let u all know once its sent.

I just saved a Syrian live today!

This afternoon,i go jalan2 to look for Chipsi Classic at Jalan Pudu,but couldnt find the 20L pack..T.T.
Then i saw a couple want to buy a hamster.At 1st they choose a cage,not big enuf but good for 1 syrian.Then they choose cream banded female Syrian at 1st,then i heard they want to buy one male.Then i said dont buy a pair!

Then the couple started asking why ler...i think the taukeh there gonna be mad @ me just now ruining their bussiness...ROFL!

Aiyar, your Ocha won't be happy if you always sad mar. Time to move on. Get a really tame and cute syrian lo. Cherish Ocha's memory lo.

Roche is like her cute lil self, as usual. But Ferro ar, his fur really growing long. And I think he can't manage his fur properly.

Yesterday I carry him that time I noticed his fur had something that looks like a matt with a lil shavings and a lot of fur. I tried combing the matt but it didn't work so end up I snip it away with scissors. Lucky just a small chunk at his outer fur.

On your birthday I bring a hammie for you lo. Your parents won't refuse qua.

Chipsi classic lo. Just a very small matt la. No problem. Just a bit sayang to cut his fur cuz it's growing out so beautifully.

I use shavings because my guinea pigs also use shavings. High absorbency mar compared to corn cobs. Plus my mum would murder me if I had to get a big pack of someting else. She complain no space dy.

At least Ferro doesn't bite anymore la. I consider him tame dy.
