If that's the case...... the Spider Valve is a good choice.
The metal settings can cover all that......
and I mean Duckie can buy 3 Marshall........ factories.

Half Stack? It's gonna be over your budget already.
Maybe you can check out the Bugera. I haven't heard it, was supposed to test out, but never found the time. But anyway, when I'm back from the US on the 23rd, will bring (hopefully) my new toy and test it out. |

Yup. Had to work my a$$ of for the amount of cash I needed.
Parents chipped in abit, but not as much as Duckie. You can also try Ceriatone amps. They make a clone version of the JCM800 2203 (100W) and 2204 (50w). check out www.ceriatone.com for more info. Another thing you have to remember about tube amps, is that you need to play them at a healthy volume (ie: loud) to get their full benefits. You won't get the crunch you're looking for if you're playing it at a relatively low volume. Unless of course you buy something like the THD Hotplate. |

Nope. Just annoyed neighbors
Keep in mind, I have a 60w amp, so it doesn't take as much volume as say a 100w to get the crunch I need. Besides, my dad encourages, nay, INSIST I play at a decent volume. This post has been edited by blacktrix: Jul 5 2008, 09:12 PM |

If you have no idea what genre you want to play, it's a little hard to recommend.

Yeah, now that you mention, a Les Paul would be the best fit. Epi LP Standard should be below 2k.
