In Kepong Baru, there is a restaurant opposite of ninja mamak (famous for fried chicken). That restaurant at night is selling fried noodles and rice. I would recommend the fried rice. I find it very nice as they use char siew. It is typical to those charsiew fried rice you get in expensive restaurants. This shop selling it for RM5 which I think is reasonable. I give a rating of 5/5 as it is my type of taste. Only problem is that this restaurant is next to a gambling dent which is not so suitable if you bring kids or girlfriends (who are turned off by these shady places).

Went to Hoo Yee Kee for their loh mee just now. Was okay. The loh mee there is more light version although I would prefer it to be dark abit. Hehe

However, a walk around the area found a few places with alot of customers.
Seafood Fat Boon
Ulu Yam Mee House
Yuan Kee
Mei Gai Hup

Probably if any Kepong people can share their experience from the above food places? Hmmmm
*
Seafood Fat Boon=went there once....wait very long even steam fish also half cook nia zzzzzz
Ulu Yam Mee House=see also scare open shop only full ppl waiting...nvr try
Yuan Kee=no idea
Mei Gai Hup=taste not bad but kinda pricy with kepong 'tai chow' price.

i found 1 'tai chow' behind carrefour kepong shop lot some where in the housing area called fei jay restaurant....very tasty and cheap....if go there must try their curry fish head.....dam nice.....this is the gps direction

I was passing by yesterday so I turned in to check New Lai Heong. Yes, it is there next to the skinchan ikan bakar. Passed by the kitchen, it's much smaller than before. I saw only 1 cook there compared to last time around 5 cook. I wonder if they still serve very quickly.

So?tried how bout the taste?

Lit Heong is now known as Sen Lee Heong
Add: 1 Jln 1/38A Segambut Bahagia (near Sri Sinar)
Tel: 03-6258 5987
It's opposite Sekinchan Ikan Bakar.

We tried the curry fish head and lala in rice wine sauce (seong tong lala). Fish head curry is okay but lala sauce was a bit bitter and so-so only. Small portion is RM20/plate for both dishes. Will return to try other dishes.

Added on January 19, 2012, 9:17 pmAnother new restaurant is Long Foong at Tmn Sri Sinar, Segambut (along same row as KFC).
Their marmite chicken quite nice. Kangkong belacan very salty. Sweet-sour fish slice (toman) is also quite nice.
*
Toman nice to eat meh?what the taste?got smelly or not?
