Hope to see s6xs9x in the club soon! brows.gif
Walao, 10m? For a good quality ones that would cost a bomb. Buy online should be cheaper. nod.gif

Thank you aiman04. Welcome, hoping our club will get bigger. tongue.gif

s6xs9x, looking forward for you to join the club ya... tongue.gif

Ohya, thought longer cable will cause signal lost? 10m is really long o.... I asked A&L yesterday, they said they only have longest 4.5m and currently this length cable was not available (still waiting for the shipping). They also mentioned to me that I can trade in and top up a bit more to get the 4.5m Sub cable when they have it later. thumbup.gif Again, Yap shown me another good service there thumbup.gif

your frens are my friends ... rite ??

timothyy,
Well maybe around 1700 + Cables .. I confirm if can get the price.

Added on August 13, 2008, 10:55 amtimothyy,

Mind asking if I'm taking the Alpha T1+C1+CHT10R what will be the best price .. If together with 663 full set .. how? Maybe a 410pioneer too.
*
Ask arremie this question before in this forum, Alpha T1+C1+B1 speakers set arremie bought cost RM2.3K which is quite good price thumbup.gif A&L quoted me previously above RM3K before KLIAV sweat.gif

Ask Lagend SS2 about 663 price, was quoted at RM1890 and A&L at RM1900 during KLIAV. Heard that price won't increase for receiver, will only increase for speakers especially "Western Brand".

Hopefully these info help you... smile.gif

Agree with you on that mpyw... rclxms.gif

Ohya all Sifus, may I know what level should I set for LOW-PASS CROSSOVER? Is it turned all the way to the left, so that plays all frequencies up to 200 Hz?

turn all the way up to the left (max 200Hz) so that it will accept all frequency up to 200Hz.
Then, use your AVR to do the bass management, depending on your Main/Surr speakers capability, set the LFE crossover to the nearest of your speakers limit (i.e. if you spk range 40hz - 20khz, u may want to set the crossover at 50hz or 60hz...also take into account of your surr spk range)
best if your AVR can set individual crossover for each speakers/channel...but that will be high end AVR liao...I know mine cannot sad.gif
*
Ok mpyw, I'll try it out tonight. My AVR also can not set individual crossover for each speakers/channel since just a entry lever AVR...

Thank you so much ya mpyw for your guidance thumbup.gif

All Sifus, need some of your advices. smile.gif May I know how to configure and set the Sub to achieve similar volume level from between both the main speakers and subwoofer? Can't really understand what the manual said... rclxub.gif

Thanks ya... biggrin.gif

mpyw, checked my spk range already. For Front speakers range from 30hz - 20khz and for Centre/Rear range from 60Hz - 20kHz, I'm currently set the crossover at 80hz...Is my setting correct?

Thanks mpyw biggrin.gif

30Hz - 20khz!!! fuyoh...what speaker you using...very close to full range liao notworthy.gif must be costing a bomb!!! mine only 44Hz - 22kHz nia  blush.gif

the setting is ok...but maybe can set it lower since your surround can take 60Hz....

the set similar sound level, u'll need a SPL meter to do the job liao....me only using my ear tongue.gif
*
mpyw, I'm actually using a cheap scale speakers set which was 2nd hand Pioneer S-MS500 MKII (still looking new) and it only cost me RM250. Got this speakers set from Cash Converter, hehe!!! tongue.gif This actually make me started this hobby and spending $$$...hahaha tongue.gif

Ok mpyw, I'll try to set the crossover lower and see how it sound. SPL meter... ohmy.gif I don't have this also, will follow your way then mpyw tongue.gif Thanks for your guidance again ya mpyw.

My unit, When idle...no la...

Further to the humming sound....from my reading...the humming can happen when the signal only send to the subwoofer....so...not necessary when only idle can hear..... hmm.gif  hmm.gif

The reason I ask so much.....what is the different between the interconnector cable and subwoofer cable=> sub cable with space-lug.....That's why I would like to decide which one to buy for my sub...keeee

I read...majority mentioned the humming sound....if in future...humming might be happen when signal send to subwoofer....  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Anyhow, might be just to look for the sub-cable only.....keeee hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

I'm using Audioquest Sub-A Subwoofer Cable currently to connect my Sub to my AVR, i didn't use the spade lug althought my cable come with it.

Is this due to "cap ayam" cable?

As search some reading from wikipedia:

"Connections are made by pushing the cable's plug into the female jack on the device. The signal-carrying pin protrudes from the plug, and often comes into contact with the socket before the grounded rings meet, resulting in loud hum or buzz if the audio components are powered while making connections. Continuous noise can occur if the plug partially falls out of the jack, breaking ground connection but not the signal. Some variants of the plug, especially cheaper versions, also give very poor grip and contact between the ground sheaths due to their lack of flexibility."

Or any other problem....can cause hum sound?????

Based on the reading above....if i am not understand wrongly....this due the the breaking ground connection within the two unit (AVR and the subwoofer).

So the space-lug really can really help to the subwoofer to get rid of the hum problem??? Any one have this experience? icon_question.gif

By the way, where to coonect the spade lug? is it to the chasis of AVR and another end at the Subwoofer.....right? hmm.gif
*
I asked A&L incharge person on this hum sound when i bought my Sub, he mentioned to me that we usually don't experience this problem in Malaysia. thumbup.gif This problem mostly happen in oversea according to him.

Yes, it is connect to the chasis of AVR and another end at the Subwoofer. You can connect it by lossen the screw at the back of the AVR and the Sub, remember to tighten back your screw after install the spade lug. wink.gif

Wanted to ask all the sifus here. Where can I get the Velodyne CHT12R sub beside A&L. Currently they are running out of stock cry.gif except the demo unit. And they quote me RM25xx....I think is a bit expensive to those previously get from them sweat.gif .
*
You can try to ask Hi-Way Laser SS2, PJ as well. They do carry Velodyne Sub but I'm not too sure about their price. If you are interested try do bargain with them according to the reference price in this thread. smile.gif

Sorry man.
According to Ah Hong, the salesperson, he say their stock left 1 unit only. How true, I donno.
But also, he didn't want to give me the price until I showed him the sms my frind sent me. Then, straight he took out their price list, showed me their Distributor Cost price and agreed the price...
Anyway, for info, only about 15% cheaper than what you guys paid for.
*
Really a good deal for you timothyy, manage to get the CHT-12R for about 2k which is very close to CHT-10R price d... rclxms.gif
