usually the a-levels and diploma students dont really mix with each other due to:
1. different building during lecture
2. different dormitory

and your brother is from which course?

PDM yeh. aku dengar cite 1st batch budak PDM (1 batch dengan aku) buat hovercraft untuk FYP diorang.

mecha eh. my friend applied for UNITEN for the course Degree in Mechanical Eng and she got it. been through the orientation week alongisde with me.

be forewarned, transfer credit from GMI to UNITEN isn't that much. she could only transfer 16 credit hours. me too. damn. even those in Poly and UNISEL can transfer up to 30 credit hours.

but fear not my friend, for the knowledge u learnt at GMI is far superior than other institute. i can be very sure about this.

for now, i guess only UNITEN and UNIKL are good for those engineering subjects (for IPTS) as they're more hands-on.

ada dah senior netsec yang dah keje. kebanyakan jadi jr. exec, jr. network analyst atau technician. ada yang jadi jr. programmer. (note: jr. tu pasal diploma, klu degree takde jr trus)

gaji? ada yang basic 1.5k, campur OT dengan elaun dengan claim, ada yang cecah 2.3k.

ada plak gaji basic 1.8~2k. tapi takleh OT.

kali ni apa features plak yang ditambah? batch aku aritu buat login ikut username n password guna RADIUS. manela tau tambah features macam bleh bayar ikut jam, hari atau bulanan ke, auto-debit duit ke ape ke.

IT jobs susah sket nak atas 2k untuk basic untuk diploma, tapi kerja ada banyak. boleh, tapi kebanyakan bawah 2k la untuk basic. ko tak perlu risau sangat pasal tak dapat kerja. yang penting cara nak tekel interbiu je hehehe.

tapi bergantung pada tempat kerja dan course ko gak le. budak2 PD (product tech) ada dapat kerja kat shell, gaji adela dalam 2~3k basic tapi tu ikut luck ko gakle. tak semua orang boleh dapat.

banyak tempat ko bleh masuk, contohnya aku ni kat UNITEN. ramai budak kelas aku masuk UniKL sebab bawah MARA, senang nak pinjam loan MARA.

for diploma it's around 15~25 students per class. thats why it's interesting

not so. from my experience, if you're taking diploma, those GAPP students will stare at you like they're the most superior being on this earth.

well, those who took a-level are usually smarter than diploma students, hence the case above.

orientation? not too sure myself, as i'm 2nd batch (no 1 week orientation, mine is just 1 day )

for diploma students iianm it's around RM650~700.

and you'll get around 2k~3k initially. you'll see new laptop, handphone, jeans, shirt, watch, bag, shoes everywhere. lol.

and during that time, better keep your belongings carefully, thieves are everywhere.
