Guys, great thread here.
I am in need of a new LCD so come up with a couple choices. I limit my budget within RM500-RM650 range.
LG W2242T 22" Wide TFT LCD Monitor with DVI SAMSUNG T190 19"
After looking at the T190, I fall in love. Does anyone here know who are selling this item?

Maybe I'll just go to Central Square to look for that T190. From the reviews I read off the internet, I found that most prefer Samsung than LG.

I created a thread asking for the same info too AMDAthlon, Its between Samsung T190, Samsung 2253LW and LG2242T. Most people suggest Samsung 2253LW so I went and bought it a few hours ago by phone call to Thundermatch.
Got it RM685 + RM25 shipping.

You got to be kidding me?? I just bought 22" 2253LW instead of that T190 thinking I could play the games better..
Am I making the wrong decision??

So, hmm..kinda interesting. So, with my newly bought 2253LW 22" LCD, can I experience HD? Let's say I download a couple episodes of Entourage which is coded in HD, will I experience the HD or.......?
Sorry, but still haven't fully grasp of this HD concept.

Ah..thanks for that. Good to know that the 22" is HD ready. So, basically it is 1080i rather than 1080p..err...right?
I'll try to load up some movies right after my LCD arrives tomorrow.

Oh..I totally forgot about 720p. Care to explain why is some 22" are not full hd, some 22" are full hd? like the new benq.

Oh, I see it now. As long as the max reso are either 1920x1080 or higher, it doesn't matter if it's 19" or 22", it will be regards as full hd.
Thanks for clarifying that.

QUOTE(qwerty79 @ Oct 28 2008, 07:29 PM) I'm also aiming for this monitor, S2409w. But after lots of consideration, I think 22" the most suitable for me. May be 2253lw. Anyone use this monitor? Because after side by side comparison (2232bw with 2253lw) I can accept the minus 0.4. Very small. Not much differences. Plus the price is much cheaper. I'm a proud owner of 2253LW. So far so good. Still need an extra help with installing Vista on my machine. (http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=824217) Currently use the 2253LW as an extended monitor for my laptop. Just to test it lor..

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Oct 30 2008, 10:49 PM) Switch off the light completely in ur room while turning on the monitor. Activate a black blank screen saver or wallpaper. Look at the edges & corners of ur screen, if got white light bleeding out in the black screen, that's what we call as backlight bleeding Yeah, I did that and dunno if I'm lucky or not, didn't see any bleeding so far. Got it work up to it's max reso and so far satisfied with it.
