bought a samsung 19" 943BWX for RM605 at klcc yesterday..

intially it's too bright, have to tone down the brightness, readjust the color.. quite happy with the purchase.

bought a samsung 2253bw at pc fair klcc...initially wanted benq g2400 but no stock and i didnt want to come back so i took samsung instead...

kuching salesman at pc fair no easy to get accurate info.
that selling HP product salesman very funny when yesterday i go.
" Don't look that LCD! (w1907) that only 17" !! try buy 22" at there."
" Buy this system(CPU) with latest graphic card GeForce 8400!"

at another side also make me sad.
me:" Does't this LG 1942T using DVI showing movie now?"
Salesman:" hmm.. DVI? I no sure.. how about you look for your self?" 

Fine, i found that LG is using Analog. I trying ask they use DVI to compare samsung 943NWX but they no allow.
because they told me there is no such difference using DVI or Analog.

Forgive they. they just part time worker.

I bought the ViewSonic Va2226w for RM715 at Low Yat.No dead pixels(checked with software) I did compare it with BenQ,me and my friend agreed that the detail of the pixels is much clearer.(Dont know how to desribe,but it really alot different compare to BEN Q,No offence Matrix) Its really huge compare to my old classic CRT 17". Although i am not good in graphic stuff,i am very satisfy with it. The problems were the power cord is for US,so i bought a converter that cost me RM5 for it. The other problem is this is my first time using the LCD,i dont know how to adjust tthe contrast and brightness. I notice there's a very 'sharp' or 'painful' feeling whever the screen is in white colour(like now when i am replying this message.) So is this normal or i should adjust it? Any ViewSonic users here can give tips about this? The currest settting of my brightness is 90,contrast is 80. Is that too high or too low.Please advice. Thank you

I believe that LG is better comparing to ViewSonic if we compare it brand to brand. Its better to check for the ms(the lower the better) and 1:10000 ratio(the high the better). Correct me if i am wrong.

With this amount of money, i believe u can buy alot of brand out there,except for the high end like LG or Samsung.

What about Viewsonic?Do u mind?I just bought my ViewSonic 22" at LowYat for RM715. Quality is okay.If  compare to BenQ its better(compare side by side),Slightly 'poorer' compare to Samsung(personal opinion).

Anyway sounds to me like the best of the best doesn't seem too important to you ? Well this is a cheap affordable TN panel
Imho i would suggest you skip 19'' and go straight for either 22'' or 24'' because of the affordability after prices have dropped since last time. The main determining factor at the moment for these 2 sizes is the panel type.

Cheapest to expensive is as follows TN < PVA < IPS
If you can get a good PVA for slightly more then a TN, do it. You won't reget. For IPS the price spikes up much higher so you maybe not something you need since you aren't too picky like me

Found nowhere in Low Yat and I have called to local distributors but they said they don't carry this model into Malaysia.

heya all,

after taking a looking at my 2232GW, my dad's thinking of getting a 22 inch monitor for himself too as his eyes cant really take the small icons on his 15 inch monitor anymore.

thing is his computer is a really old Dell (like 6 years+). I hadnt been able to bring my monitor over to see if it works with his PC, but i've got a gut feeling that his old integrated graphics might not take the native resolution of a 22 inch (correct me if i'm wrong please).

if yes, then what's the bare minimum graphics card that would support a 1680x1050 resolution? I might end up having to build a new CPU for him, which only would be to use simple Microsoft Office tools and for surfing the internet.
