Want to play PS3 go for larger screen but you already got 42" tv, why want to get larger monitor lcd? 22" is really enough if you already get a lcd tv.

I also tempted with 24" monitor, but after thinking that I also got a lcd tv for movie and game, so why 24"...
*
coz the 42" is currently in the living room, and i don want to disturb my family watching the tv sweat.gif
so that's why i am goin to get my own lcd monitor nod.gif

If I'm not wrong 32" LCD TVs are more expensive than a 24" LCD monitor for the same resolution. For example, a Sony 32" Full HD LCD TV costs about RM3.5k (Got the price from SonyStyle Malaysia's website) while a 24" Full HD LCD monitor will cost around RM1k(for the cheapest one, and depending on the panel type, it can reach up to RM2-3k). So, it really depends on your usage and your affordability. If you use the LCD mainly for movies and also console gaming (and you can afford it), I would suggest you to get a 32" Full HD LCD TV. Else, for people on a tight budget, I would suggest you to buy the more affordable 24" LCD monitor. I hope my opinion helps.  smile.gif

tq so much for ur explanation..appreciated it bro notworthy.gif
now,i am not richie rich,so there is a no no no 32" LCD tv for me sad.gif
but i wil go to 24" LCD monitor instead and the most affordable one.
i scout it already, and found this BenQ 24" (4got the name of it ) and Dell S2409W.
both of them are below RM 1100 iianm.

or i also can stick with 22" that have hdmi port, but not fully utilize my console.
also afraid my gc cant go on with a 24".

tq very2 much for the infos.helps me a lot notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
yes,that's the one i am mentioning earlier..BenQ G2400W.
my friend used it with xbox360, very nice indeed. the price also is affordable smile.gif

now, bout the 1:1 mapping, it need to be done with 1920x1200 rite?
so that it will compatible with Full HD ( 1920x1080 ).

but the Dell S2409W, it is already 16:9. Its max reso is already 1920x1080.
sory for my noobness sweat.gif

extremely expensive - considering 22" = 2" difference is selling nearly 50% cheaper  tongue.gif  Below RM600 for 22"
*
u have a point there.
but also there are some 24" at RM 1.5K and above.
so, like extra 2" almost equal 100% higher of those 22" below RM600 tongue.gif

need some suggestion,

which 24' model is the best deal for watching movie and surfing? i not going to use it for game.
*
for me, i'll choose with :
BenQ G2400W
or
Dell S2409W
coz both are i believes affordable 24''
n both can go with HD 1080p but the BenQ i think need to 1:1 mapping coz the reso is 1920x1200.
while the Dell is at 1920x1080,so no need 1:1 mapping.
correct me if i am wrong.
