There's Ultrasharp version for 22". It's under "small and medium business" section.

Hi bro juine, I saw in your sig that you're using 2007wfp. May I know your opinions on both of these monitors (Dell 2007WFP and G2400W) compare based on your daily usage? How's the colour on both of the monitors? Is it very different or is almost the same(I assume that the 2007WFP that you're currently using is having an S-IPS panel)? How are the viewing angles on the Benq compared to the 2007WFP? Thanks for your opinions.

QUOTE(studwo @ Aug 2 2008, 09:09 AM) Both of the LCDs share the same panel. It's just that the stand that the V2400W is using cannot be replaced with an aftermarket stand while the stand that the G2400W is using can be replaced with an aftermarket stand. There's not much difference between these two models to justify for the RM500 difference. I would say, if you want style, get the V2400W, if you want substance, get the G2400W. |

The 2408WFP has so many inputs, including the composite video and the s-video, which are the inputs needed to display the signal from the Astro decoder. So, I believe you'll have no problem displaying astro programs on it.

Hi guys, just wondering if the Benq FP241VW is still available in our local stores? If it is, how much is it now? Thanks.

If I'm not wrong 32" LCD TVs are more expensive than a 24" LCD monitor for the same resolution. For example, a Sony 32" Full HD LCD TV costs about RM3.5k (Got the price from SonyStyle Malaysia's website) while a 24" Full HD LCD monitor will cost around RM1k(for the cheapest one, and depending on the panel type, it can reach up to RM2-3k). So, it really depends on your usage and your affordability. If you use the LCD mainly for movies and also console gaming (and you can afford it), I would suggest you to get a 32" Full HD LCD TV. Else, for people on a tight budget, I would suggest you to buy the more affordable 24" LCD monitor. I hope my opinion helps.

In my opinion, I'll go for the 24". Since we rarely change our monitors (or is it just me...?
I've heard of the popular Benq G2400W. It's the most affordable 24" with the ratio of 16:10 currently and it performs. From your GC, I think it can handle games just fine, but you'll have to tone down on the graphics settings. But, if you would like to have all the eye candies turned to the max, then by all means, get a 22" LCD monitor that has HDMI input and the necessary requirements to run a console(like the HDCP compliant). It's also important to have 1:1 mapping for the monitors with 1920x1080 resolution as Full HD only has a resolution of 1920x1080. With the 1:1 mapping, the image will displayed with two black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Where as, w/o the 1:1 mapping, the image will be stretched to fit the top and bottom gaps and this makes the image less pleasing to the eyes. For 16:9 monitors (like the Dell S2409W), however, they do not require 1:1 mapping for Full HD content as the image will fill in just nicely into the monitor. I hope my tiny bit of info is able to help you. |

I'm sure, when you're able to afford a nice big screen, you wouldn't mind to get a mounting arm to hold your screen. This method will save you some of your work space.
