Phra Lersi (Gold colour), Luang Phor VaeGai(Cambodia), Wat Bang Ruak Lihat Thong, Nonthaburi Province.

Phra Lersi are Indian hermits who are credited to be the founders and patron saints of various professions like doctors, religious tattooists, white magic practitioners, herbalists and many others.

There are a total of 108 sacred hermits who are recognised by name and many others who are not. Most often than not, all 108 of the hermits are represented by a generic image of a wisely old man wearing a conical hat and tiger skin robes but there are also specific images who represent specific Phra Lersi.

In Indian mythology, Phra Lersi received worldly knowledge from the gods and taught these knowledges to men. Thus, these Phra Lersi are also the masters of knowledge and are frequently worshipped by students and people in academic pursuits.

As Phra Lersi are also credited to be the founders of the Thai magical arts, they feature prominently on the altars of magical practitioners in Thailand and are invoked in rituals.

By carrying with oneself the images of Phra Lersi, one can be protected from all forms of black magic and evil spirits as well. Students are also recommended to wear his image as he is able to aid one in studies and knowledgeable pursuits.

The 3rd picture(below) show that The Buddha receiving teaching from a Lersi.

This piece of incredible news really shook the world and these people were questioned what really saved their lives? It was later found out that all the six person who survived from the bombing, are faithful to Luang Pu Kaew. They admitted themselves as being Luang Pu Kaew’s disciples at the Temple of Sampan Maikien, situated in the deep forest of Jana District, Songkla Province. They had themselves cast with a holy blow on their heads by Luang Pu Kaew, which was believe to contain protective blessings.

They were also given some charms to wear. The amulets from Luang Pu Kaew of the Temple of Sampan Maikien have been proved by many critical events and life threatening experiences. They are well known and become widespread accredited not only in Thailand kingdom, but also among foreigners of different religions. They have witnessed the happenings themselves and respected wholeheartedly and faithfully in Luang Pu Kaew. The amulets and charms created by Luang Pu Kaew are regarded as the best incomparable amulets in half-century period of time. It protects and guards against all the devils and mishaps.

Proven Supernatural Power in Expelling Evil Power and Forces
Luang Pu Kaew is very well known for his long time practice of Buddhism studies and white charms. Luang Pu Kaew is unrivaled and incomparable for half of the century and he is highly praised for the experienced mastery in exceptional spell and magic usage. This was due to Luang Pu Kaew’s several years of pilgrimage and deep meditation practice. He has attained the strong supernatural knowledge that his meditation overcomes all demons and evil powers entirely. His seventy over years of priesthood describes how he has made numerous holy pilgrimage roaming through multiple deep forests and mountains to study science of spells, Buddhist charms and occultism. During those times, Luang Pu Kaew had practiced Dharma and the transcendent virtues so vigorously that he had succeeded in sharpening supernatural knowledge and has accumulated thirty years of valuable experience and knowledge in the today’s world. Luang Pu Kaew also practices the transcendent power of tranquility meditation in Kuan Khao Haeng Cemetery, which is an isolated place deep in rubber forest in Jana district well known for its highly populated by devilish spirits. There was a true story that Luang Pu Kaew has encountered about an evil spirit, which had died and vanished a long time ago. During those days, many people were unaware of evil spirits that exist around in the world of passions and desires.

It was told that there was a family living in Tamode District of Patalung Province. They lived happily together until one day when their daughter returning home from a business trip and became sick. She fainted continuously without any significant reasons. Her whole family was shocked and immediately brought her to seek for medical assistance. However, she seemed to be a totally different person after returning home from the hospital. She looked horrible and was harsh in her speech. She started asking for raw meat and ate it like she hadn’t eaten anything for years. She was no longer her own self. She spoke badly and nonsensically just like being lunatic. Her parents suffered from her sudden change in her behavior and felt that they had lost control of their daughter. They came to believe that evil spirits obsessed her. Therefore, they started knocking doors around the village to seek for competent black magicians to help their daughter. When the black magicians came in, they chanted spells onto her and the evil spirit ran out of her body during the ritual. The family was relieved to see that the evil spirits is gone and the bad times for her daughter were over. However, days later, the situation got worse. The evil spirits returned and was obsessing the daughter’s body again.

This time, the family came to know that there was a man who was shot to death behind the village which they resided in. Their daughter had walked pass the spot, which this man was shot dead, and the spirit of this man was attracted to her charm and wanted to take her as its wife. The family was in great anxiety when they knew the violent spirit wish to take their daughter as its wife and was afraid that it would end their daughter’s life so as to capture the spirit of their daughter. Her parents begged the spirit to change its intentions to rake away their daughter’s life by giving offerings to the spirits but nothing seemed to help. The spirit showed no regards to the family’s pleas and insisted what it wanted to do their daughter. Her parents traveled to anywhere that they knew of reputable black magicians and invited them to help their daughter. However, not even a single one could overcome this harsh evil spirit. The black magicians casts spells but none of them worked and led to the evil spirit becoming more daring in its evil doings. Many spells were casted, holy water being soaked and ritual ceremonies conducted but still could not drive away the evil spirit. Many of the black magicians could not find any way to defeat the evil spirit and eventually run away from the family. Although some of the black magicians were experienced and had strong spells casting power. The demon would pretend to be driven out and after sometime, it returned back to harm the girl again. Surprisingly, even when the daughter wore plenty of amulets and charms, it did not affect the evil spirit from possessing her. The evil spirit took rally in getting the daughter from her life and that made the girl nearly lost her mind in intense fear and terror. When the spirit came obsessing her, she would be just become unconscious and sensed nothing of her human body. Until the spirit left her then she could got her consciousness back. For a total of three painful years that the violent spirit and it were torturing this poor girl turned her into its slave for its evil doings. The family finally came to know Luang Pu Kaew and seek for his advice. Since Luang Pu Kaew did not get to see the evil spirit’s miraculous power and the family was residing far away in the remote Tamode District of Patalung province.

It was impossible to know exact location of the residence and to learn about the characteristics of the spirit, which was obsessing the daughter. The family had doubts whether Luang Pu Kaew was able to defeat the evil spirit and cast it away from their daughter’s body. Luang Pu Kaew went into deep meditation state and when Luang PU Kaew drew his mind off from his concentration and relaxed himself, he told the family that their daughter had been relieved from the evil spirit pester. Overjoyed, the father kneeled down before Luang Pu Kaew and thanks him for saving their daughter. The family then quickly took leave to return home to see if their daughter is fine. Within a month, that family came back to pay homage to Luang Pu Kaew at the temple of Saphan Meikaen with happiest faces and informing that the daughter is perfectly well. They told Luang Pu kaew that after that day, no evil spirit continue to possess her anymore.

They thanked Luang Pu Kaew for showing mercy and helped the daughter. The above story is about an evil spirit, which obsessed the girl in Tamode District at Patalung province. It reveals the spiritual power that Luang Pu Kaew possesses as miracle from the highest-level practitioner of Dharma. The story also indicated the truth that the evil spirit died under abnormal circumstances became of his short allocated span of life due to paste misdeeds and cannot be reborn. Therefore it gone in the deep suffering blinded by desires and lusts and anger. Without the righteous virtues and guidance of Luang Pu Kaew, this spirit would be drowned into the eternal pitfall of lustfulness. Whether this evil spirit can be reborn is up to its fate and is something beyond the knowledge of anyone.

(The biography about Luang Pu Kaew is all from others website. Just used for reference.)

Prai Hoon Payong(big phim), Luang Pu Chang, Wat Ngaung Yai Mow, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

Size: 6cm(height)

Luang Pu Chang Ganatasilo of Wat Ngaung Yai Mow, Nakhon Ratchasima province is a guru monk who is well known for consecrating Hoon Payong amulets. Luang Pu Chang has a deep knowledge of Visha (magic) which he acquired whilst studying in Cambodia and from his father who was also known to possess knowledge of Metta Visha.

This Prai Hoon Payong amulet is made from "Benja Guman" powder, known to protect from evil, black magic and other inauspicious things. The amulet is made up of many other scared components such as

1. Soil from seven graveyards
2. Soil from seven old temples
3. Soil from seven salt licks
4. Soil from seven auspicious sites around Thailand

Apart from the sacred materials used, his Hoon Payong amulets have also passed through a special Black magic ceremony to transfer the power of four spirits (earth, water, wind and fire) and the 32 aspects of a human being into them. Thais believe that all men possess 32 aspects which when combined produce the perfect human.

The Hoon Payong amulet was consecrated in year 2007(B.E. 2550) by Luang Pu Chang himself. He blessed the amulet for over a month from midnight to dawn at the temples cemetery. The amulet was finally tied with scarlet thread, whilst reciting the Khunta 54 spell ceremony to demand that spirits haunt the Hoon Payong idol amulet to further increase the power. It is believed that Hoon Payong amulets protect worshippers and their property from all dangers. In addition they can attract good fortune.

Phra Kaew(玉佛)from Wat Phra Kaeo, Chiang Rai.

Gold plated casing.

Wat Phra Kaeo (15th century or earlier)

Wat Phra Kaeo is historically important as one of the sites where the Emerald Buddha, now in Bangkok, once resided. The Emerald Buddha is a statue of mysterious origin that first surfaced in northern Thailand in 1434 when a lightning bolt struck the chedi at Wat Phra Kaeo. The lightning bolt ripped apart the stucco coating of the chedi, revealing a green statue inside. Believing it to be made of emerald, the local population dubbed it the emerald Buddha, though it is actually composed of green jade. King Sam Fang Kaen of Lanna wanted the statue to be installed in the capital at Chiang Mai, but the elephant carrying it stubbornly turned instead, on three separate occasions, toward Lampang to the south. As there had already been a long tradition of heeding the whims of elephants as a sign of divine intent, King Sam Fang Kaen allowed the statue to be kept in Lampang, where it resided until 1468, whereupon it was brought to Chiang Mai by King Tilokaraj and installed in Wat Chedi Luang.

The statue was subsequently acquired by the Lao kingdom of Lan Xang in 1552, when it was taken to Luang Prabang by King Setthathirat. Sixteen years later, the king transferred the statue to Vientiane in Laos when his father, Photisarath, died.

The statue remained in Vientiane for over two centuries until 1779, when General Taksin (Chao Phraya Chakri) of Siam captured Vientiane. He adopted the statue as a palladium of the Chakri dynasty, which he founded in 1782 when he installed himself as King Rama I. The statue is now kept in Wat Phra Kaew, the Chapel of the Emerald Buddha, on the grounds of the Grand Palace in Bangkok.

Available in 3 different sizes. Big, Medium and Small. Suitable for female or kid.

大二爷伯(黑白无常) blessed by Khruba Krisahna Intawanno, Wat Pa Mahawan, Nakhon Ratchasima (B.E. 2551).

大二爷伯, 大现威零,safety and prevent evils spirit 出入平安,wealth and prosperity 大吉大利,招财进宝

Material: 108 type of herbs and holy powder of old butterfly amulet

The Story of 大二爷伯

If you have read about the story of 大二爷伯 before, you probably have heard of different versions of their story depicting how the two deities died. Not that their stories are inconsistent but because there are actually more than a pair of 大二爷伯 in the netherworld. Now, why is this so? Is it not that there is just one pair? Apparently not. According to our 大爷伯, they are known as 黑白无常 in the netherworld and not 大二爷伯. The names 大爷伯 and 二爷伯 are created by secular folks to describe them as the Big Brother and Second Brother. These names are commonly used by the Chinese Teochews whereas the Chinese Hokkiens frequently address them as 大二哥爷. In the netherworld, the pair of deities is in fact known as 黑白无常. And, this is an appointment like Sergeants in the army. Hence, after reading our story on 大二爷伯, you will realize that some other 大二爷 may not share the same name as ours in the story. This is because 谢必安 and 范无救 are just one of the many pairs of 黑白无常 in the netherworld.

Centuries ago, in a Southern province of China, there were two sworn brothers by the name of 谢必安 and 范无救. Both were loyal *magistrate constables who worked as protectors of the Yamen.
*Magistrate Constables were constables protecting the Yamen just like present day policemen stationed in the Subordinate or High Courts.

At about the same period, opium was introduced into China. Chinese was tricked into believing that opium was 长寿糕, a tonic that could strengthen both body and mind. Hence, many people including 谢必安 and 范无救 were taken in by these lies and became hooked onto them. Soon, price of the opium rocketed. The situation became uncontrollable. Hence, the Chinese government decided to clam down on the drug dealers.

One day, one of the drug lords approached 谢必安 and 范无救 to bribe them into letting them deal with illegal activities in the province while they get free opium. The two constables, who were known for their righteousness, refused the offer. This infuriated the drug lord tremendously and made him turn on 谢必安. He reported to the Yamen that he was taking bribes from people. The Yamen immediately launched investigations on 谢必安 for the allegations against him. To prove his own innocence, 谢必安 decided to hang himself just outside the Yamen as his vouch to the Yamen that he remained loyal and innocent even to the end.

Early next morning, 范无救 was reporting to work when he found the body of 谢必安 hanging at the door of the Yamen. He was devastated by his death and angered by the accusations brought upon his beloved brother. After burying him, he decided to join his sworn brother in death by drowning himself in the sea. As in the Chinese saying, 虽不在同年同月同日生,但愿在同年同月同日死. It is literally translated as “though we were not born in the same year, same month and same day, but vouch to die in the same year, same month and same day”. This was a common undertaking by sworn brothers or sisters in those days. This loyalty and brotherly love displayed by 谢必安 and 范无救 touched the hearts of the deities in the netherworld. Hence, they were conferred as deities and are known as 黑白无常 to this day.

Phra Somdej Lang Sivalee Pim Klaang, Luang Phor Kuay Kutintharo, Wat Kositaram (B.E. 2518).

This is the Pim Klaang version of this very popular amulet. Luang Phor Kuay blessed a number of different types of Somdej amulet with Sivalee on the reverse, most made before B.E. 2525.

It was recorded that Luang Phor Kuay had owned a book called “Kru Rang”, which was full of sacred spells. It was said that only monks or ascetics had sufficient sacred power to open and read the volume. Should it be opened by an ordinary person his life may be damned.

It was known that the book contained many sacred spells, to dispel evil, protection from weapons, and a scared spell to call upon Mae Thorani, or the goddess of the earth.
Luang Phor Kuay had learned all the sacred spells and also copied the book for other monks. Today several copies are kept at a number of temples.

Apart from the book Luang Phor Kuay also learnt magic sciences from many other senior monks such as Luang Phor Puang of Wat Nong Kradone, Luang Phor Kun of Wat Khaokaew and Luang Phor Derm of Wat Nongpo, who it was said taught him about the sciences to create sacred knives and takruts.

Moreover he also learnt ancient Thai medical sciences from Luang Phor Ken of Wat Dongsetti, Uthaitani Province, and in particular the science to help repair broken bones.

Luang Phor Pumpum of Wat Nongtangoo, a friend of Luang Phor Kuay had said that Luang Phor Kuay was a true monk, who was never afraid of anything which resulted in him learning strong magic.

Furthermore it was also said that Luang Phor Kuay had a magic mouth. If he made a prediction, in all likelihood it would be become true.
