Phra Buddha Chinnaraj (SarmKaSat - Gold, Silver and Copper Plated), Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahatat Woramahawihan (Wat Yai), Phitsanulok Province.

Wat Yai is famous throughout Thailand for its golden sculpture of the Buddha called the Phra Buddha Chinnaraj (พระพุทธชินราช). Many Thai people consider the Phra Buddha Chinnaraj to be the most beautiful Buddha portrait in Thailand. It depicts Buddha in the posture of overcoming Mara (ปางมารวิชัย), also called Mara submission. A stone inscription indicated that he was molded over 700 years ago by a King Mahathamaracha Lithai of Sukhothai dynasty. Several faithful copies of the Phra Buddha Chinnarat are displayed in other temples, including Wat Benchamabophit in Bangkok and Wat Saranat Thammaram in Rayong. Also, the Phra Buddha Chinnaraj is depicted on the official seal of the Phitsanulok Province.

The majestic Phra Buddha Chinaraj projects an aura of authority to its bearer, at the same time providing protection, dispelling evil, bringing wealth by promoting smoothness in our endeavour, success, loving kindness, good luck, family harmony, etc.

Phra Pidta Nur Phong (with 9 Real Gold Takruts and LP's hair), Luang Phor Koon, Wat Ban Rai (B.E. 2542)

This Pidta Nur Phong has comprehensive properties for wealth & fortune, Metta, Klaew Klaad, Visha and invincibility.

Actually, LP Koon has finished Takrut-making for invincibiility. During the Vietnam War was still persisting in early 2510s, lots of American soldiers in Udorn and Korat airbases went to pay respect to LP Koon requesting to have Takruts inserted into their bodies. After LP Koon chanted his Katha for a few minutes, a Takrut would be miraculously forced into a soldier's arm.

A large pile of silver Takruts for invincibility, life protection, and wealth & fortune were inscribed by LP Koon himself and melted for efficacious metal core to make the Pidta of this batch, which all great properties and efficacies were integrated.

LP Koon was born in B.E.2466 and ordained for monkhood in B.E.2487. He is now 90 years(year 2012) of age and still be the Abbot of Wat Banrai.

Vocab:
Klaew Klaad = free from all harms
Visha = knowledge

Takrut Phra Narai Prik Paed Din (3 inch), Luang Phor Sakorn, Wat KlongHorThong, Nakhon Nayok Province (B.E.2554)

Takrut Phra Narai Prik Paed Din, means the power of Phra Narai inverting the world. This takrut is made from silver foil but coated with black resin (usually mixed with holy powder). The image of Phra Narai is gold. This takrut is about 3 inches.

This batch of takruts are Kop Chakawan in Buddhakoon. Kop Chakawan means blessings and protections in every aspect in the universe. And plus a unique feature that is seldom found in most collections, that is inverting negative factors that affects you eg. like in Biagae, Phra Rahu , Phrabuddhaphaireepina and Phra Mahesuan to name a few.

Takrut Dok Mai Thong (Golden Lotus), Luang Phor Thong Poon, Wat Ban Pen, Ayutthaya Province (B.E.2549).

Takrut Dok Mai Thong is endowed 5 great ability other than protection; Maha Saney (ability to attract opposite sex), Maha Metta (ability of great loving kindness), Maha Niyom (ability of great popularity influence), Klaew Kard (ability to avoid dangers or misfortunes) and Ka Khai (ability to enhance business and selling).

This common piece of takrut is hand written by Luang Phor himself. It is a combination 3 takruts; copper, silver and suasa (representing gold) strung altogether. It can be worn in the pockets as it is or loosen up and tied around your waist.

This takrut is not only popular now or in recent but decades ago in Thailand. Still not many in Malaysia and Singapore have heard of it. It’s effectiveness in Maha Saney is very evident. One great advantage about this takrut is it has only one forbidden rule; Do not curse or swear especially at elders or parent. Unlike many takruts or amulets, one cannot purposely go under hanging clothes line or under hand of others, one mustn’t be involved with wife of others to name a few.

In order to reap it’s effectiveness, one must chant it’s heart mantra 9 times.

Katha Takrut Dok Mai Thong

Namo Tassa Bhagawato Arahato Sarm Ma Sarm Buddha Sa (x3)

Metta Khunang Arahang Metta (x9)

If one have cursed and swear at someone or elders or parent, it will lose it’s effectiveness but chanting the heart mantra again will reactivate it’s power.

Biography of Luang Phor Thong Poon
Venerable Luang Phor Thong Poon present age 81 years old at year 2012 (B.E.2555). He is the present 7th Chief Monk of Wat Ban Pen, Ayutthaya. Venerable LP Thong Poon is also Amphur Sena Ayutthaya, a Buddhist’s Monk District Officer of Sena, Ayutthaya, Ven. LP supervise 37 Wat or temples in the district of Sena, Ayutthaya.

Luang Phor’s Buddhist name is Phra Kru Suwannsilanukoon but popularly known as LP Thong Poon. He enters novicehood at age of 17 and subsequently at the age of 20 enters monkhood. He has been practising since then till present. He has learned under many great Teachers like Luang Phor Sawat, Luang Phor Mee of Wat ManVichai and Luang Phor Vik Boon Wat Kratongthong. He learn the art of making holy water from Luang Phor Pring. Luang Phor Thong Poon received the knowledge and katha to make the ever famous Takrut Dok Mai Thong (Golden Lotus) from Luang Phor Sanan of Wat Saotongthong.

Though Luang Phor Thong Poon has admitted himself that he is skillful and famous for making Takrut Dok Mai Thong only, yet many of his lay diciples have requested Venerable LP Thong Poon to make other amulets. Now Venerable LP’s schedule is very tight because he is always invited to attend ‘pok sek’ or blessing amulet ceremonies both grand or small occasions.

Phra Pidta Jumbo Sorng Lang Yant Sukitimah, Nur Phong Bailan, Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee, Bangkok (B.E. 2521 - 2523)

Phim Yai (Jumbo 2) Lang Yant Sukitimah
Nur Phong Bailan - 39,974 pieces
Nur Phong Kesorn - 3,056 pieces
Nur Phong Thoop Kammathan - 2,700 pieces
All were inserted with a single takrut

Initially, Luang Pu Toh intended to bless this batch of Phra Pidta amulets for at least 5 rain retreats before distributing out for rent. The reason was because during that period there was still a great number of earlier produced Phra Pidta amulets left in the temple. Luang Pu Toh only managed to bless this batch of Phra Pidta since the Buddhist lent of B.E.2521 up till the Buddhist lent of B.E.2523, i.e. 3 Buddhist lents or 3 Traimas, before passing away on 5th March B.E.2524. In retrospect, this batch of Phra Pidta was blessed by Luang Pu Toh for the longest period compared to Phra Pidta amulets from other batches.

It is well-knowed and recorded that Phra Kru Viroj Kittikhun had produced many batches of Phra Pidta for Luang Pu Toh to consecrate. Luang Pu Toh emphasized a lot on the radiating of loving-kindness and he always blessed Phra Pidta amulets of different moulds by radiating his loving-kindness and compassion. Some moulds of Phra Pidta amulets, for example Phim Jumbo Neuang (1st batch), which Luang Pu Toh spent only 7 days for the blessing but there were many experiences shared by the wearers about their successes.

Phra Kru Viroj Kittikhun reserved a few thousand pieces of these Phra Pidta amulets to offer to Royal Family. The King and the Queen distributed these pieces to the government officials and officers of the uniformed-rank. Many of these pieces were also given to the armed forces who were assigned to Prague, Czech Republic as security forces so that they will be safe when they are executing their duties. Many of these soldiers shared their experiences after they survived near-death experiences while performing their duties, which made this batch of Phra Pidta amulets even more popular and more valuable than it already was.

Many senior mediation masters of the past generation tested and meditated on this batch of Phra Pidta amulets for its energy. Many of them gave the feedback that the energy and power radiated from this batch of Phra Pidta amulets is equivalent to the energy and power radiated from Somdej Wat Bangkhunphrom which were consecrated by Somdej Phra Buddhacharn Toh (Phrommarangsi). It was specially oserved that the energy radiated from Phra Pidta Jumbo Sorng (2nd batch) was the strongest, sharpest and the clearest, most probably due to the fact that a number of pieces were immersed in holy water (Chae Nammon) during the consecration ceremony.

For this batch of Phra Pidta Roon 3 Traimas which Luang Pu Toh blessed for 3 years, many wearers experienced miracles which were passed on from mouth to mouth. All these experiences always mentioned about success, good fortune and being popular and respected by their peers. Many even shared that they were able to be prosperous and were finally free from their debts which were owned through time. Due to these positive experiences recounted by the wearers, Phra Pidta amulets from this batch are always sought after by both devotees and collectors. The amulets were already unavailable in the temple not long after distribution and the imitations found today look almost identical to the genuine pieces.

Phra Pidta Mahasaneh, Nur Phong Kesorn, (with real gold frame), Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee, Bangkok (B.E. 2518)

It had won a second place position in an amulets competition.

Phra Pidta Mahasaneh, Nur Phong Kesorn, 33,000 pieces, B.E.1518

This Phra Pidta was the 1st batch of Phra Pidta produced under the name of Wat Pradoochimplee. Wat Mai Amataros was invited to mix the powder and press the amulets. Luang Pu Toh had blessed this batch of Phra Pidta for 3 months by emphasizing on compassion. Many people who have worn this amulet reported of many great experiences especially in their careers. The people who posses this Phra Pidta amulets are usually successful and progressing in their careers.

Phra Pidta Mahasaneh has the width of 1.8 cm, height of 2 cm, and depth of 0.2 cm. There were 2 types of materials used, Nur Phong Kesorn and Nur Phong Bailan.

Phra Khreung Roon Wat Mai Amataros, Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee, Bangkok (B.E. 2518)

In the year B.E.2517, Wat Pradoochimplee hired the technicians who produced the amulets for Wat Mai Amataros, Bangkhunprom to do the production for 4 moulds of powdered amulets.

1. Phra Pidta Roon Mahasaneh
Nur Phong Kesorn - 33,000 pieces
Nur Phong Bailan - 3,000 pieces

2. Phra Somdej Prok Po Phim Ok Rong
Nur Phong Kesorn - 33,000 pieces

3. Phra Somdej Phim Sarm Liam Kha Toh
Nur Phong Kesorn - 3,000 pieces
Nur Phong Bailan - 3,000 pieces

4. Phra Phong Phim Chan Loy (Phim Klom - round shaped)
Nur Phong Kesorn Phim Raek less than 5,000 pieces
Nur Phong Kesorn Phim Sorng 30,000 pieces

These 4 powdered amulets were produced in the year B.E.2517 and were brought to Luang Pu Toh to bless for 1 full year before distribution. During that period, no one had the knowledge of powder mixing and pressing amulets at Wat Pradoochimplee. Luang Pu Toh was very old so he was not involved in the production but he assigned this task to Phra Kru Viroj Kittikhun, who contacted the technicians and also arranged for the amulets distribution.

The powder formula of Wat Mai Amataros was already famous for good powder mixture in the amulet market. The mixture consists of Tang Ew oil, shell cement, white cement water, soft coconut sugar and various powder of dried plant stems. After Phra Kru Viroj Kittikhun learned the formula of producing such powder amulets, he started producing powdered amulet for Wat Pradoochimplee. Starting from Phra Somdej Roon Yeuan India B.E.2519 (Visit India Batch), he subsequently produced many more Phims of Phra Pidta amulets by using powder formula of Wat Mai Amataros. When he wanted to produced Phra Nur Phong Bailan (burnt palm leaves), he would use old rotten palm leaves and coconut shells which were burnt and ground into powder mixed with dried stamens powder. This mixture will make the content of amulets soft but glossy in appearance.

There are Thai words which were embossed at the back of all the amulets in this batch - "Luang Pu Toh Wat Pradoochimplee".
