Your driver installation went very fast rite? It didn't pop up the "Install this driver anyway" message rite? If I'm not wrong, the driver is not installed yet because some file is missing. I got it when I try to install it the 2nd time too.

You can use 177.35 driver also. It supports GeForce PhysX too.

Almost every GPUs can use this driver. You just need to modify some files to enable installation.

now i got 177.35 installed.and its being detected in gpu-z. but the new problem is, how do i noe whether my physX is working? i'm using 08.06.12 nvidia physX drivers tht u put in the first page.in the info tab,its written 'no ageia physX processor is installed'. but in settings tab , inside hardware device selection, GeForce PhysX option is being selected by default. means???

Yea, the PhysX is working. You can try running Vantage's CPU test and see the increase in OP/s.

How bout UT3 or GRAW? Any improvement? unsure.gif
*
It depends. On UT3, only PhysX maps show improvement. Besides that, nothing much.

Also, it seems that 177.35 fixed the DX10 performance for a few games - I've tested Crysis and UT3 only, and they seem to run just like how it ran in XP.

For mine,

SLI 9600GT
Overall - P7310
GPU - 7883
CPU - 6003

9600GT doesn't work with PhysX yet..

I don't understand what is the issue here, since nvidia have already embed the physic engine chip in their GPU's of course it'll be driven by the GPU right?  wink.gif

Lol they're just tak puas at NVIDIA.

GPU physics is of course the way to go since:-
1) It progress a lot faster than CPU (number of processors for GPU can be doubled in a short time(See HD3870 (320spu) -> HD4850 (800spu) transition))
2) It performs faster than CPU (at least 5 times faster in Physics according to 3DMark Vantage Physics Test)
3) Dual GPU is common, but Dual CPU is rare and expensive (Current solution is that 1 GPU for Physics and 1 GPU for rendering)
4) GPU is much cheaper than CPU (a 9600GSO can perform faster than Q9450 at a cheaper price) - how many cores do you think CPU need to achieve the same performance?
5) If the game does not support GPU physics, the other GPU can be used for rendering too (CF/SLI).

huge difference bro... Too bad no 8 series driver yet... whistling.gif

Yea, currently the PhysX driver support G92 and GTX 200 chips only. They'll bring support for other cards next month.
