QUOTE(Junyen @ May 27 2009, 08:04 PM) indeed Savvy is really stable on the road at high speed... I did 150kmh and nothing vibrate.. it just feels like 120kmh except the engine sound and wind sound... Anyway I'm really interested on how it goes on mountain roads... with a good chasis, this should be fun! 170kmh also still stable. some more the engine can tahan high speed for long time. im very heavy footer. the FC very reasonable (around 370km/RM50) even my driving style very bad QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ May 27 2009, 08:08 PM) No update from the owner about endorsement. IIANM, the rules now is no more engine transplant from other car maker into Proton. can convert Proton to Proton only. But 1.2 -> 1.3 should be no problem. Unless need to mod the mounting |

QUOTE(Xelia @ May 29 2009, 09:21 PM) Not me..but my foucollegue. Thy said thy found that..savvy's weight ( cause lack of potential )is the prob.. im driving 2006 savvy amt. 170kmh (on level road) shudn't be any problem. i still feel the car is stable, only the sound of the engine and wing quite loud. that's why i really love this car cos sometimes i really in a rush (my work nature) and my car got power to speed without compromising the stability (and FC as well!), easy to 'cilok' some more (not advisable thr research is all aboout savvy full rally type.. Added on May 29, 2009, 9:30 pmim just thnk ori savvy can reach more speed thn 160km/h.. well i havnt on-board savvy yet. i owez drive Gen2 (its company car),need to travel about 300km day trip for job, thn i owez drive fast, i reach 210km/h..( coz wana go bck early ). if drive through a road that down 25 degree, it can reach 225km/h..( Gen2 unstable, dangerous ) so, i thnk savvy can reach a higher speed. But ofcuz new savvy cannot easily reach dat..(180km/h) well..i mean at high speed with stable handling.. |

QUOTE(RedSox2004 @ Jun 4 2009, 01:22 PM) If u use the renault original transmission oil for ur amt, change engine oil every 8-10k...blablabla do the rest as required..ur gearbox won't hav problem. This technology has been used for very long dy..not really a new technology except for us kampung malaysia of coz. im reaching 70k ady. so far no prob I know guys who hav driven their amt for more than 80k dy..everythin still tip top. QUOTE(NOX @ Jun 5 2009, 09:27 AM) yes D4F = clio.. well, the problem not from the engine.. its from the robotic arm/accumulator@bomb.. with our superb traffic jam this "special robot" cant withstand our hot climate n without proper cooling make it also jam n suddently cant change gear thats all.. im doing marketing, so always run here n there. everyday im facing traffic jam on federal hiway. if travel long distance, my average speed is 150km/h and yesterday i back from johor. 160km/h average speed from tangkak to shah alam well, if driving in highway all the time sure no problem one.. but driving in kl during rushhour @ 2 hour everyday (go and back from work) sure the system will fail on you sooner or later.. i really in love with my savvy and the best thing is, i still can get 370km for RM50 (100% hiway). if city driving can get 390km-415km per RM50. the reason why im getting higher FC on hiway cos i always drive my car to the max performance juz pray that my car can last another 100k km |

QUOTE(JusTea @ Jun 7 2009, 12:02 AM) Today wasting half a day surveying Savvy arnd Kapar areas. juz survey thru the internet enuff bro. better get from direct owner rather than used car dealer who can sweet talk to you only. juz my Who knew, when public holiday the used car dealers also closed shop. Seriously, you would hv thot that they would take the opportunity to keep their shops open coz ppl who want to buy 2ndhand car would normally do so on weekends. Hopefully, tmrw got better luck. |

i can get this figure becos of; 1. i lighten my foot (used to be heavy footer) 2. 15% city the rest on plus highway 3. average speed 90km/h ( for the 1st time i drive really slow on highway. really torture me btw mine is AMT. clocked 70k KM alrdy who's from JB here? may i know where's the best SC for Savvy in JB? got any place like RS auto in Puchong? |

QUOTE(Junyen @ Jun 13 2009, 01:22 AM) install those things should be void wiring warranty only... IMO, it's ok for savvy lite since it dun hv power window, wiring warranty is not reli important... it just a matter of your driving style. it's possible to get even more than 19km/L wow.. 19... I'd fly if i get tht fc... anyway, it's AMT. i think can get better result for manual one. QUOTE(Thunder_Bolt @ Jun 13 2009, 12:53 PM) where's the location? |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jul 16 2009, 04:40 PM) ok here's the cost: ya, oil can get cheaper outside.Labor: RM 100.00 Sealing ring: RM 1.31 Spark Plug : RM 91.64 Rad. Coolant: RM 28.34 Oil Filter: RM 12.27 Petronas Synthium 800 : RM 101.00 Air Filter : RM 26.31 Alignment & Balancing: RM 56.00 Service Tax: RM 6.12 Total Damages: RM 423 It specify Total Parts = RM294.47, Total Labor=RM 122.40....not sure how they breakdown. What do you guys think? Labor very expensive....Parts price ok? The Spark plug are 'Champion' plugs according to them. A tad expensive on the plugs? Maybe oil can get cheaper outside? my previous service, the SC (not Proton) charge me RM93 for the petronas 800 oil. |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Aug 27 2009, 10:24 AM) Did the last owner maintain it properly? Savvy AMT needs ELF Renaulmatic oil for the AMT transmission. I suggest you spend some money and change it to the ELF oil, because some Proton SC give you different oil which gives some problem. Go to RS AUTO to check it up and let them do other service for you, like cleaning the sensors, TB and check up on ur 'krakk' sound. QUOTE(acrylic_26 @ Aug 27 2009, 10:28 AM) cleaning sensor = RM30TB = RM20 engine oil = RM 105 (roughly cos cant remmber) amt oil = RM60 (roughly cos cant remmber also) labour = RM20 problems like hard to start, jerking, krakk sound can be solved. ELF products is the best for our beloved Savvy. |
