I have the same problem to rear right door, petrol cover, rear lights... rear lights is on the 1st day i got my car... petrol cover twice already, send to sc, they open it and spray wd40, must try 20 cents next time... right rear door can only open from outside...

@awh
AMT problems are actually the system which heats up easily, when it's hot, the system prevents u from engaging gear, to protect the robotic arm... usually cause by putting in D and foot on brakes for stops, or didn't turn on the air cond... the damage is actually inside, u can't see it... so, buying it from a good owner which takes care of the amt is important... if not later u will have to spend 20k for replacing the system 5 or 10 years later... But AMT Savvy is a fun car to drive, u get 2 in 1...
*
Err...that is not fun. Spending 20k to replace some gearbox...you can pay half for a brand new Persona...or pay for a good 2nd hand car already!!!! sweat.gif

If i remember correctly, it was the other person that got bash kaw-kaw...LOL.

Anyway, it's not that i made up the pricelist. It's from SAVOC.NET!!

Some people could not accept reality. There's always pros and cons. Nothing is perfect.

I have this also previously. I think it's linked to the sensor problem? The SC fix it for me during the last or the round before last visit.

ok here's the cost:

Labor: RM 100.00
Sealing ring: RM 1.31
Spark Plug : RM 91.64
Rad. Coolant: RM 28.34
Oil Filter: RM 12.27
Petronas Synthium 800 : RM 101.00
Air Filter : RM 26.31
Alignment & Balancing: RM 56.00
Service Tax: RM 6.12

Total Damages: RM 423

It specify Total Parts = RM294.47, Total Labor=RM 122.40....not sure how they breakdown.

What do you guys think? Labor very expensive....Parts price ok? The Spark plug are 'Champion' plugs according to them. A tad expensive on the plugs? Maybe oil can get cheaper outside? hmm.gif

but if we service outside... our warranty will void? i heard some saying minor service can do outside.. major only go back to proton...
*
Yep, definitely void warranty. It's the same for all car manufacturers. pay a little bit more for peace of mind...somemore SAvvy parts not common nor cheap...better service at SC and claim warranty...furthermore got extended 3 years warranty(total 5)...pay a little bit more nvr mindler...the savvy can service every 10k...so not so expensive.

Hmmm...is it covered in insurance? I only know the windshield need to pay extra for insurance...but rear window...no idea. But i suppose it's covered? Because usually windshield is the most prone to accident or breakage, that's why need added insurance premium.

Becareful if they try to con you. If in doubt, talk straight to the higher up level or the MD himself. He has a thread in motortrader forum.

savvy service is once every 10k km?
if my SC ask me to check every 5k km what does that mean ?
that SC is a bit lousy, i ask them to repair this weird sound coming from near my tire 2 times d, one of them till change brake pad but no difference at all
*
My last SC...also like that ask me to check every 5km. I say fcuk off.

Basically according to manual, you should service every 10K or 6 months, whichever earlier.

I think mine is late for 20k service...almost 2 years only 21k, coz my mileage very low, why the hell need to service 20k when my mileage is only 10,000km?? Change oil, filter and other standard stuff enough already. The PJ13 SC got bising a bit about this, i don't give a damn as long as i got my book stamped by the SC every 10k. Previous SC also never say anything, why this one wanna make noise? mad.gif

But i scare they might try to play nasty if got problems later and needs to make warranty claim...Previously i just wait until it hits the mileage then only go service, but now, i think i'll just go every 6 months...

so since got warranty, why does everyone warn against the hefty bill for repairs?
*
A lot of people only bought the 2 years warranty. Also, Extended warranty is only applicable for original owner. It cannot be transfered to subsequent owners. So if you buy 2nd hand...you got no more warranty after 2 years.

Ok.. tq.. thinking to delay my 10k service to mb 13k

Which area are u living? CoE have both mach 5 and syntium 800..
*
When was the last time you change oil? If you changed at 1K, then you should go at 10k.

If you use Mach 5, then better change every 5k, if Synthium, then change every 10k.

But according to manual, it should be 10k or 6 months, whiever earlier....average, i got about every 6 months, but service follow the mileage.

Since you're at 10K, i think u still have one last free service voucher right?

I serviced by 6000km because at 1000km service they used mach5. Then now i'm using syn 800, so I don't think so I'll go back by 10k or 11k cuz it is too short since i'm using semi synthetic oil.. so I'm thinking to go back by 13k, then next will be 20k... and I still have 3 free service voucher... because 1k is free service, 5k they didn't charge me any labour fee, 10k will still be free service ( written in the service booklet)... so I can use it for 20k major service, 30k and 40k major service...wonder if I can keep the voucher for 60k major service?
*
Yeah. I did the same. Changed to semi-synth at 5k, so went back at 13k. How come you got so many vouchers? I thought it's only free labor for the first 2 or 3 service only.

If your car still under warranty...maybe got problem later to claim warranty. Maybe you check to see if Proton SC can print out some sort of service history for you. If warranty over, don't care ler.. tongue.gif

my savvy started jerking regularly every now and then. i have to stop the car and restart it again then the jerking gone..

i wanted to do a check up but what to tell the mech specificly eh ?
Tooth sensor ? or TB clean ?
*
Is it during low gears? Usually 2nd and 3rd gear? Manual?

If it is, then most likely it's a sensor or TB dirty.

If under warranty, just let them check and fix it. They'll replace the sensor if neccessary. If warranty over, no need to replace. Just ask them to clean the sensor and/or TB.

hi, normally how long you guys send your beloved Savvy for service? The manual says every 6 months or 10,000km or which ever comes first but I think it is too long already, especially using semi-syn engine oil.

every 3 months or every 5,000 km or which ever comes first better?
*
Nah. Semi-synth is good for 10,000km. No need to service every 3 months/5,000km, there's one Proton SC in PJ who asked me to service 3mths/5000km....i told them to fly kite. Never going back to that SC again. Just wanna suck more money.

But it's better to change your oil filter every 5,000km....just go outside to change...otherwise Proton SC will charge you RM90 for labor while the oil filter is only like RM12!!!!

Get a quotation from Proton SC first. Then compare it to quotation outside. Why don't you try RS AUTO in Puchong? Lots of savoc.net kaki go there.

RS Auto RM 500

SC depends....i believe more than 500 hehhehehe

I thought it's only RM360 or so for the price at SC...but of course...labor=RM100.

If the car's warranty is over, better go RS AUTO...cannot trust most Proton SC with incompetent mechanics.
