@hazzy : GUT LOAD means the time u first get ur mealworms [for SGs, Gerbils, Hedgehogs or whatsoever that eat mealies], u cannot feed them straight away to ur pet(s), but u have to FEED them nutritious food for AT LEAST 2 DAYS before feeding to ur pets.

U have to gut load them for at least 2 days. GUT LOAD is feeding the mealworms to make them more full of nutrients and avoiding feeding contaminated mealies to ur pet(s). Coz the mealies bought straight from shops are not all 100% healthy..

By Gut Loading them, u can see after the 2 days period, some will turn black = die. Some will turn to white = grow bigger. So only after this period, u can savely feed mealies to ur SG.

What to Gut Load?
(1)Bread
(2)Rolled Oats
(3)Kitten Kibbles
(4)Veges
(5)Fruits
(6)Hardboiled Egg white
(7)Organic Vegetarian Supplement

P/S : Food that is too big or hard, i always smashed into smaller pieces.. Hehe using hammer.. hehe

Me been here since V5.. Wanna get a SG too but I can wait. Not on IMPULSE.. Wanna be 100% ready and 100% commitment to them!!

OMG.... you bought from that guy? Why never check with us? That joey is not 2 months old.... how old? Well, that is actually a 3 to 4 week old joey. The size, fur, tail..... sigh..... Did not we said before to never buy underage joeys? My blog already got article that we should not support such sellers. To you is maybe rescue lah from that guy but it's all wrong and unethical for the seller to sell the joey that young.

You know why she can't take mealworm yet? Coz she is not fully weaned. Even baby Bubba is now 33 days and he has not touched solid food yet.

Shaking is a sign that she is scared. Hiding in your hair is a sign that she wants security.... all these are sign of underage joey.....

Very true. Imagine what the guy would do with the RM250 he just got.
I got no more for sale anymore. Your joey won't grow very well due to being such a young thing with no nutrition from mother's milk. Wombaroo milk is not sold and you can't import just like that. All you can use now is Pets Own, but then it has very low protein and fat, so any joey on Pets Own won't grow as big than those on Wombaroo milk.

See.... now is more trouble for you, more worrying for you and more work for you. This is why we always always say DON'T GET UNDERAGE JOEYS.

Sorry but I am just mad.... mad at the fact that most of us have already advice you not to buy on impulse but you still go and get an underage joey even after reading this thread. It's disappointing and frustrating for those who advice. I'm sure KP will say something later.

CLEARLY YOUR JOEY IS YOUNGER THAN 5 WEEKS OLD AND TO MY CALCULATION ACCORDING TO THE DATED PHOTOS BY THE SELLER HIMSELF, YOUR JOEY IS APPX. 3-4 WEEKS OUT OF POUCH ONLY.
I UNDERSTAND FEELING "KESIAN", I HAVE EXPERIENCE IT HUNDREDS AND MILLIONS OF TIMES, BUT DID YOU STOP AND THINK THAT IF YOU GET THE JOEY, YOU WILL ONLY BE SUPPORTING THESE UNETHICAL SELLERS/BREEDERS AND CAUSE MORE AND MORE UNDER AGED JOEYS TO BE SOLD LATER ON?

IF THE JOEY DIES IN YOUR HAND, YOU LOST YOUR MONEY FOR NOTHING BUT YOUR OWN STUPIDITY, BUT IF IT DIES IN THE SELLERS HAND, HE LOST HIS DAMN PROFIT AND CREDIBILITY AS A SELLER.

THINK ABOUT IT.

IF YOU ARE STILL KEEN ON KEEPING THE JOEY, HERE'S A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

1) START FEEDING PETS OWN MILK, SLURP AND SOFT FRUITS. DON'T GIVE TOO MUCH YOGURT, IT WILL ONLY CAUSE DIARRHEA. THE JOEY CAN ONLY LEARN TO EAT MORE SOLID FOOD IN 3-4 WEEKS TIME.

2) OTHER THAN GLIDERS OWN MILK, OTHER MILK TYPE WILL NOT ENSURE SUFFICIENT NUTRITION AND NECESSARY ANTIBODY, THUS DON'T EXPECT IT TO GROW AS BIG AS OTHERS VERY FAST OR FOR IT TO LIVE AS LONG AS OTHERS...

3) KEEP THE JOEY WARM AND COMFY AT ALL TIME.

4) KEEP THE JOEY COMPANY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

hazzy if i were you, i would try ask who ever bonai,kp or hun to help u jaga the underage progress, better then u know nuts about it...sometime's cheap thing does not comes in good condition, i rather kena flame and see whether they can help me jaga, then i pay back the babysitting fee for them (sorry if my words offence bonai,kp or hun)

this is wat really call SAVING THEM, not just but them back. since u bought already no choice loo.. wat to do is to give them the best, even thou that you cannot be with them for a period of time..

by the way, any one know is there any book's regarding on sugar glider language? cause i saw book regarding on cat and dog language, if there is please let me know where could i buy it. i would like to understand my ah bi language more...
