Just got myself one yesterday.

Setup gmail on it.

But couldn't get it working. Any ideas? I setup through the wizard where it gets the settings automatically. I can receive mails but not sending mails out.

Anyone could provide me a hand?

port : default

outgoing email server : smtp.gmail.com
security (ports) : startTLS
port : 587 (this is your problem.. dont set to default..it happen to certain firmware..coz certain firmware cant use default..)

my 4 days e71 got problem already.. sometime when i push home key or menu, it wont go.. i have 2 switch off then on back the phone.. and damn! i forgot to format 1st the memory card before installed everything..
*
Do a factory reset, then reinstall your firmware. Next, put in your memory card into your PC and do a full format followed by a format in the phone. Next, reinstall all your apps. P/s : dont forget to backup your important data before you update your firmware.

I had some issues with my phone, reinstalling my firmware helped and later i had some memory card problems. Just follow what I did, everything is in tip top condition now.

______________________________

Regarding setting up your GMail account in your phone, just follow the email setup wizard and when it asks you for your username key in your full email address. Your E71 will automatically setup the account settings for you.
