The next installment to the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: World at War is scheduled to ship in 2008.
It is set in the Pacific theatre and Eastern front of World War II.
The game is developed by Treyarch. COD4 was developed by Infinity Ward by the way.
This game will be using a much improved COD4 engine.

I think i'll pass on this one. COD4 still great for online fps.

Although, I may skip it also mainly because it goes back to WWII. Not a fan of WWII games. Then again, can set MK on fire. That alone should be worth the price.

And since I might not be getting Bad Company, tried the demo, wasn't too impressed, maybe this is worth the wait.

3 kill streak = u get a compass

5 kill streak = airstrike from a B-52 flying fortress which will take 2 hours to arrive at which point the enemy would have relocated...

7 kill streak = nvm, sikorsky was still trying to figure out how to make the rotors spin instead of the chopper itself...

WWII (1939-45) and Vietnam war (1960's-1970's) tak sama la....

flamethrowers as weapons in the game? IIRC, infantry flamethrowers during WWII were used more for destroying enemy equipment/vehicles/buildings after capture and flushing/killing people hiding in caves rather than using them in combat situations because in combat they're too vulnerable (bulky, low range compared to rifles, highly visible). Well I suppose they threw out realism for the sole fun of roasting japanese troops...

Harklis.... B-17 la, B-52 doesn't start to fly until the late 50s.

But then again.... a carpet bombing from B-17s would pretty much wipe out everyone on the map, including the spotter!

If you realize WW2 shooters have been benched for awhile now and not many have been released compared with the 1998-2002 years...

now its making a comeback and knowing Treyarch they may make it a good game.

looking forward for the demo. bad company didn't impress me.
