without qwerty, best PDA u can have is the P3600i.
its around RM1.6k now.

with qwerty, for a brand new set, need to up another RM1k in ur budget. around RM2.5k to get a decent TyTN II. other than that, u can look at Eten's too. but im not so sure bout pricing.

haha, this is a recommendation thread. spam us with questions regarding PDA recommendations smile.gif

u have a choice, between a good condition possibly with original warrranty left HTC Tytn2 (qwerty) or the HTC P3600i, without qwerty. u didnt say your job scope so i cant advise u if u shud have qwerty or not. but if u plan to do a lot of non-sms typing, go for qwerty

Hi...really need ur advice urgently...sorry if I steal your precious time but I really got to do this.
I'm planning to buy a PDA A.S.A.P. Here are details I think might be useful to you:

BUDGET RANGE: 2.7K Max

Brand Preference if any:HTC/Samsung (You can also suggest other)

Second hand: Yes

QWERTY keyboard: Yes / no (not necessarily important )

Keypad: Virtual / Hardware (not necessarily important)

GPS: Yes

Bluetooth: Yes

WIfi: Yes

Frequent Overseas traveller to Japan and US? or other countries: No

Camera Resolution minimum: 3 MP

Expandable Memory: Yes

3G : Yes

HSDPA or higher: Yes

Front Camera: Yes / No (Not important)

Gaming Type: Light gaming

Screen Resolution: VGA / QVGA / I dont give a hoot

So far I've shortlisted 3 models namely HTC Touch Cruise, HTC TyTn II and Samsung Omnia (8 GB version). However you could suggest me if there's better option instead.Since I never used PDA before, I'm really looking for something stable. For your information, I will use the mainly for internet surfing (using celcom broadband), check e-mail and related stuff, and listening to MP3, watch video. To be able to capture good image quality using the camera will be a bonus for me. BTW does having 3.2" display promised better surfing experienceon Samsung Omnia?

Hope to hear frm you soon...hope you could find time to reply this.

Regards and thanks in advance..really appreciate your help. Have a nice day, Bye!

hmmmm, i have not yet tested the omnia, so i cannot vouch for the stability. and its hard to mod the omnia as well. but since u want for surfing, it has a wide screen, with qwerty keyboard so its a definite plus. camera also damn good.

i believe it has bigger batt capacity too, so all the better for push mail

this thread is not about comparing. STRICTLY for recommendation only. both using the same operating system, windows mobile, so user friendly? same. just see the Touch Flo UI. go and google and see some youtube videos about it.
