Not the way they decribed it. Lag spikes can't be helped. Even when disabled it still DOES causes the dc. Too much info such as damage and shit still goes thru. I've gone thru the extent of turning off damage reports down in the options, and no, I still get DC'ed.
No external UI, no external addons, no damage numbers.

Makes sense?

do you realize that WoW data comes in 1.x-2+ KB per packet?

your "too much info" is actually just small sized numbers data value. its just mods further spamming that throughout the addon channel and parsing it thats causing the main problem (provided you've tested it as ive mentioned)

for your case if you've turned on every UI and still face it then its obviously your connection issue. and ive even mentioned that.

just because in your case its confirmed to be connection issue you cant just claim everyone else is having connection issue straight away without checking the UI mods and PC settings/hardware. if things are as simple as you think it is, troubleshooting in IT would be a LOT easier and companies wouldnt be bothered paying so much for IT support.

what your saying is no different than idiots in LYN tech support/hardware Q&A sub-forum answering every problem with "format pc".

Do you use gamepath? i feel that when lots of data comes in, game path usually spikes a lot on some days, so i just turn it off. Even though the latency is 100-150 ms higher, as least there is no spike

You could try a different gate for Gamepath. Just test each one.

I began with telling the OP that I suffer the EXACT same issue he did, and I said here's what I did and discover along the way. The post was directed to OP. Not your replies, wherever that might be.

here:

guy a: omg pc blue screen

guy b: omg i pc blue screen too!

EXACT SAME problem

guy a: format pc!

guy b: ok i follow format pc!

turns out guy a's blue screen is due to w/e driver or software issue, format pc lolworked
guy b, which isnt so fortunate, formatted pc, and still get blue screen cuz the HDD is having bad sectors and/or other hardware overheating/failures.

same "i dc in raids lol" problem, but not quite.

OK man. I've the VERY same problem as yours. Here's the thing I did and here's the findings I got.

No, it's not your computer. I believe you've done all the necessary steps in doing that one. I've gone to the extent of changing my RAM, display unit and believe it or not, changed my OS as well. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING helped.

QUOTE
The only thing that helped for me is rewiring the home's phoneline. Yes, I'm not kidding. I now have a direct line from the phone jack outside of the house straight in. That helped the spike bits. Also, getting the right IP for it helps a lot too. 218.111.*.* works for me now. 600~700ms, I don't quite care, as long as I don't get spikes, and I dont' get DC.

You seem to just choose what you wanna read and understand what you choose to understand... or perhaps my english writing's not up to standard these days.

why dont you take your own advice then?

ive provided so many examples that you cant 100% confirm that your problem is the same as the TS/(that other person that hijacked/hitch hiked the thread) so you doing what you did doesnt really matter besides them applied on yourself until the other TS/(that other person) confirmed it otherwise.

just look at your own first quote, unbolded text.
and on 2nd quote, unbolded text: you believe, but are you certain that TS/(other guy, ok ill name him/her other guy aka OG) done the same steps as you did? did TS/OG mentioned/confirmed that they did?

I'm at a loss for words, ain't gonna post further. Will let OP read it, and take the argument elsewhere. Ain't got nothing to do with this thread further more.
