1. Is WQVGA screen 240 x 400 pixels common enough for most of third party software to be compatible? For 3.2 inch screen, this resolution seemed a bit low, and the pixels maybe be very obvious. Even SE Xperia X1 has 800 x 480 pixels.
2. Does the phone come with a stylus? I don't see a slot in the phone.
I personally don't really like the TouchWiz UI with the Vista-like sidebar, seemed not "professional" enough like Touch Diamond's TouchFLO 3D. But the overall specs are quite attractive though.

i afraid this "if only" upgrade will consume much more battery + many other 3rd party common resolution 320x240 app couldn't be used
If most 3rd party softwares have common resolution of QVGA 320x240, will they even compatible with the Wide variant of QVGA, which is WQVGA at 240 x 400?
Here is a hands-on preview on Samsung Omnia User Interface and Program Menus.
I am quite convinced up until this stage that is will be my first PDA phone.
In retrospect, my purchase target of PDA phone keep changing over time: HTC Touch -> HTC Touch Cruise -> Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 -> HTC Touch Diamond -> Samsung Omnia i900
If something better announced, I might need to wait further. Sigh.
phones like dis has been out in korea long time ago. dis is call the haptic technology. in korea dey call it anycall phones instead of samsung although both are the same. i saw one in korea sumtin looks like dis but has additional slide features if im not mistaken. it costs abt U$D700. quite expensive i would say...
Samsung does sell a phone model called Anycall in Korea where its physical design is almost identical to the Omnia, but with only one difference, Omnia is based on WM 6.1. This phone is also equipped with tactile feedback.

Is this also known as the Samsung F480?
What about the iPhone 3G.. When will it hit our shores? Plus, which one should I get.. I'm thinking..
Do advice..
Nope, F480 is another touch screen phone with the similar TouchWiz interface, not powered by Windows Mobile.
F480 is really for taking photos, multimedia and web browsing. However, it does not have wi-fi. It is not a pda phone but an entertainment phone.
No sign of omnia being released here yet. August the earliest. Xperia X1 will be released in September (Malaysia might be later). Iphone, you can wait till next year. Malaysia is not on the list of countries set for release this year.
August only launched? How you know about it? There is no official statement Omnia is going to sell in Malaysia at all.

Can I have some feedback on the Samsung i780?
You can search PPCSG forum, where there are quite a number of users of i780 there.
I was Midvalley yesterday taking advantage of the Metrojaya Member Midnight sale and I saw people making stage assembly at the Centre Court and arrange of promotional materials for Samsung! I wonder what are they launching this weekend?
This is wishful thinking though. Maybe they are doing promotion for the F480/490?
I pray they will launch Omnia in KL as early as possible, so that I in Penang can get hold of it after that. My phone almost can't be used anymore...
