isnt that a hardware reset? i thought the soft reset was the one on the spb shell.....

sorry....little confused on this bit
*
no lar..soft reset is like u restart ur phone..
if u dont install SBP Mobile how r u going to soft reset ur phone..

hard reset is by pressing Call + End Call + soft reset button simultaneously
all ur data in main device will be wipe out..reset to default setting..
Other way u can go to Settings> System > HardReset

*
yup..that one is italian firmware
if i'm not mistaken u can check the language from the name of firmware
the English one should be XXHH3 or DXHH3

but u can give it a try if u want to install non English firmware..

H3 la.

Hay, i want to free up some memory. i duno which are the original/defult software in omnia since that seller installed many software in mine
*
go to settings > system > remove programs.
the list that u see is apps installed by ur seller..
u can remove it if u don't use..

the original software (from Samsung) would not be in the remove programs list..
and it is not possible to remove..

so far i'm satisfied with the battery performance on HI1..
from 12am last nite until 5pm today still 90% with few smses, call 10 min, 15min wifi...
previously on H3, battery drop to 80% around 10-11am..

but it's not fully tested yet since i just flashed yesterday..smile.gif

i just upgraded my firmware to HH3 last monday... and now there's I1 and is said to be the best among of all firmware... now have to upgrade again meh... aiyaaaa.....
*
no regret if u upgrade to I1..
the only difference that i can tell is battery performance..
mine can last almost 3 days with my normal usage, something that u can't get from H3...

do u have SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 installed on ur Omnia?
the one that u mention is just a skin..
without SPB mobile shell it would not work..

where do u input registration code for ur Sbp Shell 2.1? since mine is "ahem" version i duno if its already "ahemed" or not... lol.. how to tell la?
*
err.. i think many people already warned not to talk about the 'ahem' thing here due to Lowyat Policy..although only say 'ahem'..smile.gif
if u want to ask about that thing please pm the person directly instead of open question..

by the way, to check whether ur spb had been registered or not,
if i'm not mistaken, go to spb settings > about
(forget already..currently i'm not using SPB since upgraded to I1)

Added on September 26, 2008, 10:57 pmlol... i completely loss on gps... i manage to install germin and base map.

but the map show nothing. i have my gps online, but the maps only show road and nothing else.

I read it somewhere thatwe can download the map at malasing.

Fine, i download all of them;
Free S'pore & West M'sia Map Jan 1, 2008
Free East M'sia Map Jun 21, 2007
GM-Mysin Installer (Locked) Aug 08, 2008
GM-Borneo Installer (Locked) Aug 08, 2008

Now, how the hell can i used them? what is locked? where to put?

above all, sorry because i'm nobie lol
*
AFAIK, the locked one only can be use in PC..

Use the Free S'pore & West M'sia Map or East Msia Map
After u download the file (GM-MySInMXT.exe), execute it from your pc and it will extract the gmapsupp.img file.
Then copy gmapsupp.img to your Garmin folder.
(normally in My Storage > Garmin)
Run the garmin, now u should see the malaysia map on your Omnia..

Hope this will help smile.gif

Anyway tercupee, the instructions already there (readme.text inside the zip file)..
once u download the skin, extract SpbMobileShellSkins folder into My Storage..
and just follow next instructions, it should be ok i think..
