yeah this thread grows a a bit fast and it could mean good or bad things

First of all, Omnia is a PDA = Personal Digital Assistant. Please note that PDA is not a phone, many PDA do not have slot for sim card. Omnia however comes with sim card slot therefore it has phone capability

The OS used by Omnia is Windows Mobile 6.1 (WM6.1 a.k.a WinMo 6.1) which means there are many softwares available for this OS save for some which are device specific and not compatible with Omnia. Just like most of PCs nowadays use Windows right?

Also note the absence of physical QWERTY keyboard may makes it hard for first time users. After sometimes u will get used to it.
Some say that iphone has the best virtual keyboard, and that same keyboard is available for download for WinMo devices

a 3.5 mm audio jack that is used in Walkmans, Discmans and most MP3 players. It is easier for us to listen to music since we can just buy those aftermarket earphone/headphone without going through the adapter that is connected to our Omnia port.

may I know what software do you use to play those divx file? most probably some of those divx file are encoded in xvid format so you need players like Core Player or TCPMP to play them.

about the ringtone issue, it is a known bug that the ringtone starts slowly in normal ringtone mode.

better if you PM TS, navilink as he/she seldom checks here..

Okay, just to clear uo your confusion.. are all the 8 files comes with extension .divx ?
TCPMP is a freeware while Core Player is not free ( unless if you know where to look for it)

lyk there is a specific TCPMP for WinMo6.1 and our Omnia, when I found the link, I'll post here and PM you also

By the way guys, my Omnia problem is back - it will turn off Phone mode (meaning my Omnia goes into flight mode) randomly and I will not be able to turn back Phone mode unless by shutting down my Omnia for approximately 30 seconds. I think I need to send back my Omnia for warranty.

I am afraid the information is outdated since the whole UB floor is now occupied with clothes store and few restaurants.. no more handphone and computer shops up there. May I know which shop from MP you bought your Omnia? I think I'll go there and ask the shop myself
