I have no idea what in the world is an enzyme drink.
As far as I am concerned... enzymes are proteins. You drink/eat it, it goes into your stomach... maybe aid digestion for a short while, then it will get digested like any other proteins.
So seriously, I think it's a fad... and it's just some marketing talk to fool consumers who don't know better.

Most probably it's the protein and amino acid composition of the enzymes that proves to be valuable. In this case, birds' nest can also be considered enzyme drink what... saliva of swallows is full of enzymes. Or another enzyme food you guys can consider... papaya. It's full of the enzyme papain --- which is a great in digesting proteins. Eat a slice after your steak... works better than Eno.

Hah hah Youngkies...
Based on 4Rings definition... it certainly is an enzyme drink. So is soy sauce and tapai. tongue.gif Heh heh!

It can be made from fruit or combination of fruits. The fruits are tightly kept in a glass container and left for fermentation for about 10 days or so.
Something like making wine. I dunno really know how to explain in English. The enzymes making book which my wife bought was in Chinese. Dunno how to read la. I am a banana.

Make sure the glass container has been well sterilized. You don't want to get something unwanted like fungus growing inside...hehe.

I know enzymes, i take enzymes too rclxms.gif thumbup.gif , this is what i take: https://www.biogreen2u.com/index.php?page=s...emart&Itemid=26

Enzymes are protein. There are millions types of enzymes in our body which play different roles in order to get every single cell in our body works.

As age increases, stress level gets high, health condition gets worse, environment/air get worse, enzymes in our body will decrease. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif Therefore, we need out sources. Furthermore, there are a lot of friendly bacteria in the enzymes, help to digest undigested food in the intestine, reduce the accumulation of toxin, boost up immune system and so on.

Fruits contain enzymes, not only papaya. It's just depend on the amount, papaya contains high amount of enzymes, wheat grass too. And enzymes are different with yogurt. Yogurt is culture milk with contained friendly bacteria and high amount of sugar because bacteria are acidic, need a lot of sugar to neutralize the sour taste. smile.gif

It will be better to consume liquid form (enzymes or juice). Liquid can goes into our blood very fast. Solid food need more time to digest in stomach and it may affect by other food too. The main factor is due to the digestion time. Eg: fruit: 1/2hour, Carbohydrate: 2-3 hours, protein: 4-6 hours, fat: 6-8 hours. If you mix fruit (easy digest food) it need more time to digest food, fruit will be the last to digest. Fruit will leave in stomach and may spoil after long period not digest. So fruit must consume before meal. Conclusion, juice will be better choice for enzyme if want to go for fruit. rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Make your own enzyme...took it from some website smile.gif

Apple Enzyme
Ingredients: 20 green apples, 6 lemons, 500g organic sugar

The steps:
1. Wash the fruits and let them air dry.
2. Wash the jars, knife, peeler, chopping board and air dry them.
**It’s important to have everything dry without water, to prevent contamination, growing mold or bad bacteria.
3. When everything is dry, you can start peeling the apples and lemons and cut them into slices.
4. Lay one layer of the apple slices in the jar, one layer of sugar, one layer of lemon slices, one layer of sugar, and continue this process until the jar is full.
5. Close the jar and put it at a corner without direct sunlight.
6. Bubbles forming on the second days.
7. On the third day, open the jar to let the bubbles out.
8. Close back the jar and let the fermentation goes on for another 2-3 weeks.
9. Sieve the liquid out and you can use the remnants to make jam or drink.

Starting this year,
1. Instead of sugar, use honey for more healthy and no alcohol taste.
2. Ratio of 1:3:10 is use. Where, 1 part of honey : 3 parts fruit(s) : 10 parts water
** not necessary to air dry fruits and essentials
3. Stir everyday for one week.
4. Fermentation for 3 months for effective result.

Was told that:
Carrot Enzymes - Good for the eyes (must fermentation for 3 months)
Kiwi Fruit Enzymes - High Cholestrol
Green Apple Enzymes - For Blood Circulation
Red Grapes Enzymes - Aids in Blood Circulation
Pineapple Enzymes - Rheumatism
Unripe papaya Enzymes - Constipation
Small bittergourd Enzymes - Diabetes

"Good Luck"

i heard of garbage enzyme from newspaper (The Star)...
http://thestar.com.my/lifestyle/story.asp?...1&sec=lifefocus

Those drinks like Vitagen and Yakult contain probiotics (in particular lactobacillus). If you're not sure what those are see Wikipedia. I don't think Vitagen and Yakult have any enzymes.

I dont think its a fad bro. i've seen some demo right in front of my eyes.
helps in digestion and thins the blood out for better blood flow. works within minutes!
i dunno the details but apparently there are diff quality enzymes where some works better than others (of course).

I have been buying homemade enzyme drinks from an aunty near by house (KL) for RM35/ per bottle (around 750ml~)

I tried those package one before, not as effective as the homemade one I bought from this auntie. Fresher <3

Normally, I order 3 days before and pick it up myself and purchase like 4 bottles, so it can last me for a month.

P.M. me if you want her contacts.
