The current 250 sounds okay as well, though in my opinion it doesn't sound as good as the first (previous) ZXR 250.
You can get used ones for under 10k (I've seen 7k ones, etc.)
But for really well taken care-of, low mileage bikes, expect around 10k.

And yes the ZZR is more towards the touring category. GTR1400, ZZR1400, etc.
They've got nice proper seats and big gas tanks, ideal for long-distance touring.
