Do u detect 3G / UMTS / HSDPA ?
Just call *118# and wait SMS daily broadband conformation from celcom.

I try the daily unlimited RM 8 using prepaid, but SURPRISINGLY the system still deduct my entire available credit, and I'm unable to access. Celcom conned me more than RM 100 cry.gif

And then, I switch to Monthly Basic RM 68

u can use pcbase method or just sms DAILY BROADBAND, send to 28882

So far in daily unlimited, i can reach 40KBps direct download, but strongly recommended to take monthly package.

I have bad experience when using daily plan. Sometimes, web page takes forever to load yawn.gif eventhough i got good signal. Now I switch to monthly D68 plan, expriencing fast surfing and fast download. Quite happy for a moment eventhough sometimes cannot connect to 3G due to never ending upgrading process by Celcom.

By the way, u simcard have to be 3G enable if u wan to connect to 3G network. If not, u will be connected to GPRS network if u subscribe to Daily plan.

go sign up for d68 unlimited plan lah.

rm68 per month is better than rm8 per day. 9 days already rm72. so 30 days will be rm240! wah! burn your prepaid credit so fast!

d68 dont have min contract, registration fee, activation fee, bla bla bla. just rm10 stamp duty + 1 month advanced payment (u get it back on ur 1st bill). u dont want to continue or dissatisfied, just cancel it.

it not easy like that. rm8/day no cap limit. d68 cap at 5gb than speed become 64kbps. im digi user. sometime want to test celcom 3g 'speed'.

what i know all celcom pre/postpaid using same apn celcom.net.my or celcom3g. same network same problem. the diferent is billing system. no guarenty postpaid get better conection than rm8/day.

celcom bb error

Is dat mean dat using phone as a modem is not as good as the real wireless modem dat we buy? I'm about to use celcom broadband. still consider want to buy 3G phone as a modem or just buy ordinary wireless modem.

with 3G modem, you must use laptop/pc to browse internet

with 3G phone, you have option to browse internet/check email from your phone, anywhere, anytime. and you can use it as modem for laptop/pc too.
my advise, make sure the phone usb cable can charge battery and connect as modem at the sametime.

How you know? hmm.gif Celcom broadband is ok laa. If everybody torrenting, even though in hsdpa area. Of course line sure damn slow.
Like my area. Now i need to call all user in my area to stop torrenting. Sometimes lines hard to connect. Celcom ned to reset their router everytime the line drop to GPRS.

So far daily unlimited i never get slow connections, its depends on devices that connect to celcom broadband. If got modem, that's a good choice!.

If wun to terminate, u ned to go any celcom branches located every state. Juz that simple.

Monthly is only RM 68 but then it has 5GB fair usage policy.
Not sure about the fair usage policy for weekly unlimited.

last sunday, i was in K.Krau, Pahang (at my relative house).. there is no Celcom3G, only CelcomEDGE available..

i try celcom broadband prepaid (Daily Unlimited RM6) with my celcom prepaid number.. once the request succesful, i try to surf internet, the speed is extremely slow (i would say, almost inaccesible).. most of the time the 'blue error' appear..

so i simply disconnect the line, and use my postpaid line (actually im already subsribing monthly unlimited d68 on my postpaid line, but since i using my postpaid line to sms chatting at that time, so i dont want to use it for internet connection at the same time)

the weird thing is, when i use my d68.. the 'blue error' is not happen anymore.. and the speed also faster compare to my prepaid daily plan.. this indicate that network is actually giving priority to monthly unlimited user.

corection. some lucky user.

i have trouble to finish download from netload, egoshare, share-online.

I'm using Celcom Weekly Broadband via Celcom Blue sim card, I'm also having problem completing downloads from Rapidshare even though Im a RS premium user. The download stopped half way and I have to restart the download from 0% even though I supposedly can resume DL.
Apart from that, I can't even surf the web when the the msg pop up; WARNING! INVALID RETRIEVE CODE!

I wonder this only happens to user subscribing to daily/weekly BB services using prepaid BLUE sim, or these also happens to those using dedicated prepaid BB card (the RM25 starter pack)?

Same thing has been said b4 in "Celcom Prepaid Broadband" thread.

I just wish the two threads can be combined..

anyway, here it is what i ve mentioned b4 -

"Funny, i ve got the same problem too. Been happening 5-6 times from morning till now (Using Celcom Blue 3g). Of course, i just do the "disconnect and connect" again as recommended by toilet bowl. And i realize using Celcom Blue, my upload speed is just around 20-40kbps where as using Celcom Prepaid Broadband my upload was a constant 80-110kbps. Download speed is roughly the same. My hunch (hunch only not facts..hihi) is, could it possibly because Celcom Prepaid Broadband is a dedicated internet simcard, thus, it is more stable compared to Celcom Blue 3g (voice calls, sms n etc..etc)

Right now, just using back my Celcom Prepaid Broadband.. and much happy using it. And My Steam download shows a constant 40-45KB/s where as previous Celcom Blue 3g was a 20-40KB/s
"

Personally, i find that using CBP is more stable and hardly get that WARNING! INVALID RETRIEVE CODE!. Hmm, if i remember correctly, never had that error code(based on a week tryout and comparing it at the same time w C3GBlue - both were on weekly subscription) The downside with CBP, is, you cant sms n make calls, plus no bonus points.
