Anyone using QVOD player? just wanna ask why i always get connection failure for certain websites?

i juz use it for www.tom365.com so far no problem...

I cant read chinese so i already downloaded this qvod player and click on the movie that i want to download but nothing seems to appear at the qvod there..

i'm not sure with other side but tom365.com work fine for me, i believe it could be the port from QVOD player to that side is blocked?, cause previously it happen to me at my company that my technical team accidently blocked the port cause tom365.com also not work and always get connection failure but after they removed it ok already

I've been trying to solve the puzzle for 1 month. Actually it turns out that it's the website chinese encoding problem.

At the page where u wanna watch the movie (the popup player page) change your page encoding to western european (windows)
and it will play.

At the toolbar -> Page -> Encoding -> Western European (Windows)

Try it and see whether it works for u.

uninstall this player please..for your own good..bcoz this application will run background and it occupied your bandwidth silently..in order to share files to others..so..eventually slow down your connection..kill it..

This can be found at the Qvod toolbar > file > option > network.

actually..hw to download a movie from tom365.com with qvod? i select the movie from the website..and then? there's no link for me to click to watch or download it..>.<

After u click on the movie,another page will come out. Then at the middle part you might see alot

click on it then will pop out another page and in the same time auto run your qvod.
You may watch in the pop out window or u may dl it with qvod player which you may see it in your list and watch it later.
(u may close the pop out window after you saw the movie in your qvod list.)

how can i download it with qvod player? or cant i download it? but only can save it into qvod player list?

or you guys can try change the regional settings under advanced tab the English US to Chinese(PRC) for unicode website. This fix apply to 5ictv.com where the popup player couldn't let you change the unicode to Western (European)

it has the same encoding problem...so just follow previous post's to change the encoding to western, then it will work.

hi reeyon for me the dll speed is ok. just some website failed download movies.

I tried using QVOD since a few days ago. Its very weird that I can watch TVB series on my laptop but I cant open on my desktop computer... I tried changing the region settings in control panel. It dont seem to do anything. I am amazed to find that it is actually set to US for my laptop.. Does anyone know what else to try or to look for? Since I got one computer that work and one that dont. If I know where to look, maybe I can find out easily for everyone.

I finally noticed why sometimes we cant download from certain websites, here is wht u hv to do:

1st step:
Go to > control panel > regional and language options > languages - check the INSTALL FILES FOR EAST ASIAN LANGUAGES (REQUIRE WINXP CD) > restart pc.

2nd step:
Go to > control panel > regional and language options > advanced > sellect CHINESE (PRC) in Language for non-unicode programs. (dont worry, it wont change your whole system into chinese, it just let u read chinese whenever u use a chinese base program or surf any chinese websites.)

Reasons why we hv to set it to chinese(prc) its becuz Qvod player and their website was develope in chinese format,
if your system is english, it wont read the download links properly, i can download from any qvod website and the speed is AMAZING!!! since the tmnuts had blocked all bit-torrent port, so far ths is my best movies-downloader.

So i've been downloading movies and dramas in tom365 with QVOD quite a long time ago, and its working great.

But donno why, few days ago, i don know whether I disabled something or not,
Everything I click the link into the movie, and in the page of buffering,

IT WONT START !

I retired a lot of time, still 准备就绪,
I followed the instruction given out by tom365 page, which is redownload ur QvodPlayer,

I've tried it, but still, the 准备就绪 keep show up,

I've been using Qvod for 2 years now. Best sites for people who cant understand chinese are tom365.com (only high quality releases), and qvodzy.com aka tom51.com aka 9799.cc (for very fast releases, even TS versions).

And to those who worry about qvod causing slow internet speed, its not true. Its true that it eats up a hell of alot of bandwidth when it's downloading but I assure you, your regular internet usage browsing youtube takes up more bandwidth than qvod is using in the background. It continues your downloading job in the background even if you kill the main window.

So to stop it munching on your bandwidth, either disconnect all your download jobs, or go to task manager and end QvodTerminal.exe process tree.

And for those who asked, yes Qvod functions perfectly on windows 7

I have just installed the QVOD player few days ago. I have been trying to download movies but couldnt. It always show "trying to connect..." I dont know what's the problem. But when I tried to download using my husband's laptop, everything is fine. I'm using Window 7. I oledi unlocked this program from window firewall, closed the antivirus, uninstall & reinstall the program,change the setting in regional & language to Chinese PRC for non unicode program, but still not working..

Anyone here can tell me why?tq

In certain website,it doesn't contain the movie that I needed,so I search the movie from google by this way,eg. 'Ip Man qvod',but i worry that the result from google contain virus,is it safe to click in the result found by google?

There's no English subs because the original video doesn't contain English subs.
If you wanna watch anime with english subs you should try crunchyroll.com or BT download from English sites.

Btw, I believe this is a long-term issue but is QVOD player safe? I heard that it contains a lot of virus & trojan so please advise.

There is a shop in Lowyat selling QVOD player (hardware) - Icam Wireless, unit no. UG-8, Lowyat Plaza. If you get hardware, you need not worry about your PC will be infected with virus etc. Latest movies are with pictures - I can't read chinese so need to rely on the picture to look for the movies. I bought 2 units - 1 for my home and another one for my sister's home but trying to sell one of them as my sister prefers to watch in cinema or buy DVD.

Try to uninstall your QVOD current version, download and install QVOD Plus version, it should be work.

I was using QVOD few days back watching some new TVB series. It was working well for 2 days until yesterday, when i was streaming it, the speed ranges from 1kb-10kb/s only. Earlier on it hit 100++ kb/s. How come suddenly the speed capped? Any1 facing slow download these few days? Help.

I have been using my old version of QVODPlayer (the one from last year) perfectly without any problem but a couple of days ago I accidentally allowed for new update and now I am geared up with the latest version of Qvod (ver.5 I think) and when I try to download stuff as usual by entering the task's URL, it gives me this error: Tips: Task creation failed.

Q. How do I set the network task to download one by one, meaning that It will automatically start the 2nd task after the 1st task finish..?

It's bothering me because my internet speed is too slow to download a few task at once, most of the time before I go to sleep, I will start a few task at once, but the next morning all the task still running at >50%. Making me couldn't watch any of it, If it could download one by one, at least the 1st few episode could finish 1st.

Anyone using the QVOD without jailbreak version on ios? Is it the same as the android version? Possible to copy the files out to PC/Mac after downloading? Im thinking of getting an Ipad but afraid it wont work like the android version
