Each time I try to burn a file which is larger than 2GB in Nero Express 5.5.10.53, it gives me this error message :-

One of the files to be added is larger than 2GB.If you add this file, the medium will be readable under Windows 98,2000 and XP (the UDF file system will be used)Do you want to proceed?

What does the message mean?

Does it mean that I will only be able to play it on computers running Windows 98,2000 and XP and not the normal DVD player in my living room? Forgot to mention that the file format is XVID.

Thanks!

go buy dvd player that support divx, xvid format. For normal one u need to convert first but if u want it to play in ur pc then just burn it using udf format.

Meaning to say if I were to use a DVD player that supports DIVX or XVID, I wont have any problems playing the 2GB movie?

Thanks!

that means u can just direct burn your .avi .divx .xvid files unto the dvd and the dvd player can play it.

otherwise you have to encode the thing using nero before u wanna pop it in the dvd player.

Select UDF format to be able to support files higher than 2GB. Standard ISO format does not support files higher than 2GB.

Yeah sorry...now only realize Nero Express doesn't have UDF option as I only uses Nero ROM. Then try to get ImgBurn. It's freeware and very good alternative to Nero which has become bloatware.

If it is image file u can used MagicIso or Power Iso to split it.
Btw can it burn to separate DVD(i mean when the setup run how it is going to find those file)
Y don u burn to dual-layer DVD?

If u wan to burn in data disk, CD(700mb) is more than enough.

a cdr (700mb) is enough. a dvdr (4.3gb) is quite wasteful to use.
