But how do we supposed to make an appointment with them?

Since they are only here for about 2 days? If I'm not mistaken.

So have you sent email to them?

2k-3k is fine, but hit over that amount, I don't think I can afford.

Lol.
*
Nope. I'm still trying to figure out how to get it done in a day.

4 hours per session. I would need at least 2 sessions to get the Koi done. hmm.gif

how much will it be if this case normally? any suggestion for me?
*
I just brought my friend to get a small tattoo with me last week.

user posted image

It will cost about RM250-400 depends on how detailed it is.

I know Shige artworks are great. I wonder how many are going to set appointments to be tattooed by him.
*
I'm sure plenty would like up to get a tattoo done by him.

That's why I'm customizing a piece of Koi that would attract his attention and pick me instead. tongue.gif

Hehe.

I'll definately reply you with the quotation. sweat.gif

Won't be that insane one la the price. Even Miami Ink only charge USD500 per hour from what I heard.

I was thinking of a pair of wing too.
emm, or a rose, perhaps a butterfly.
Any nice tattoo artist in KL area to intro?
*
Wing will only look nice if its big. Small wings will look weird.

You better think, think and rethink over and over again before doing. And make sure it's something you really want.

There's no turning back once you get inked.

Don't after doing already need to stay in the streets. tongue.gif

10k to get tattooed by Shige? That's average price for half sleeve if you get tattooed by Shige. I talked to the guy that got a full body suit from Shinji, the apprentice of Horitoshi and he's also feature in Miami Ink. That body suit is 80 hours of works and Shinji price is about the same as Shige. You do the maths hehe..

Btw here's the pic of the bodysuit

If like that, hancur lah my dream of getting a full colored Koi from Shige. sad.gif

The Koi itself will cost about RM8-10k already. sweat.gif

Yeah, famous tattoo artist range between $150-250 price range...

Some of the famous Japanese tattoo artist, i can list a few of them which i really like and called them before to make an appointment and guess what they told me? "ok they are all fully booked a year advance, do you want another artist instead?"

Horitomo is my fav http://horitaka.com/horitomo.html
NYAdorned, check out Shinji and Chris O'Donnell http://www.nyadorned.com/tattoo/index.htm
Brandon Bond http://brandonbond.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=1

Btw, Chris Garver is overrated.. $500/hrs is a ripped off lol

Added on April 11, 2009, 9:21 amSilver, it's ok.. save the money and when you have enough then you do it, dont rush it like me because i got a dragon and i never really like it. Right now i am saving a fortune to get the tattoo before i go back for good biggrin.gif
*
I like what you said. rclxms.gif
I think his new school style tattoos are not even worth half the price.

Japanese tattooist are famous for their perfect line work and colouring. Thats why. Take a look at this piece.

user posted image

I'm speechless.

You mean you actually rush to get it for the sake of getting it? Go back where for good?

Yeah that phoenix is awesome, i wouldnt mind to have that on my back! hahah.. Well i am in the US and work part time at a chinese restaurant doing delivery so a tattoo shop always order from us and i am the one who bring them their food. so i started to fall in love with it but then i never do any research and i just go in, i want a dragon...then he sketch it out and i think it's pretty cool then i got it!

But after i do some research and goes omg?? there's more badass tattoo artist and regret it so much so my next ink must be a well known artist no matter how much it cost.. it's on my body forever and i want it to be the best. i wont do it if i dont have enough even though i need to save until 30-40 year old lol
*
You should have done more research before actually doing it. How big is the dragon? Perhaps... touching it up?

Exactly my point.

I wouldn't mind paying a bomb for a good piece of art that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Okay, time to go work. I'll catch you soon.

The ones I got locally are all done by the Nonis brothers at Black Cat.

I did mine there too. But instead of Nonis brother's, I went for Julian. I would say his work is amazing.

Photos from my post above are all Julian's work. smile.gif
