Judging from the people who surf lowyat, majority people here are probably students or driving cars maintained by parents, hence they can vote still mod no problem because petrol paid by someone else. When they start paying themselves and suddenly every month 600-800 gone just for petrol on a 1.6 cc car, reality will hit really hard.
Sure they tell they can tahan after mod but quietly cursing everytime fill up the car, start to feel uncomfortable when people want to tumpang or ask for a ride to go somewhere.lol.

QUOTE(runemastertan @ Jun 5 2008, 08:13 AM) True, but there are people here that get travel allowance, hence fuel increase does not affect much on them Well if they get a fixed allocation, and usually they don;t use it all they get some extra cash, now the extra goes to petrol too. If they get to claim and usually there is a limit to the claim, now it might exceed the limit and they have to bear the rest. And remember petrol for car is at the lowest bottom rung, food, electricity, essentials are all going to increase.

Guys,
Modifications doesn't have to mean just outright power.
Now is an ideal time to mod our cars to become leaner and meaner.
Throw the junk out, rear seats, cup holders, hangers, gf's dolls....throw that bullshit out.
Get yourself a nice set of adjustables, sticky rubbers and chassis bars.
We'll re-discover the joys of true driving rather than getting lost in the pursuit for needless 1000+ bhp tractors

You guys think the only thing went up is petrol meh? Wait until everything else increase and then see if you still have the cashflow as you had before to do whatever weight saving, cosmetic mod it seems.

Does government allow private car to fill with gas like taxi? I was wondering it could save our fuel.
According to the taxi driver, they fill in the gas in Petronas station cost only about RM8. Any idea to convert your car by using gas?

From now on, the most practical mod is to mod for better aerodynamics to cut FC, and also mod engine for higher efficiency.
I foresee City i-DSI's 2nd hand value will be strong.
Anyone itchy to convert to NGV, now that NGV price is maintained?

car modding is just like a terminal sickness.......... can only be cured when u're dead.........i know, becos i have been suffering from this illness for the last 25 years, and still no sign of getting well, even with the current fuel prices.

IF ur car get stolen then design same like other ppl. Its gonna be hard to get it back.
With modding (inexpensive one also can)
The possibility of recovering it is 50% higher. LOL
