Yes, mine too. The magnet is just a very small piece attached somewhere in the casing to the left of the battery. Its not pulling the stylus strongly like it used to.

It is actually a small rectangle piece to the left of the battery and below the stylus (after you pulled it out). I know its there because it came out when I stick my stylus to the side of the casing and it came off and attached to the battery. Search for it yourself to confirm this, just remove the back casing and the stylus, you'll see it.

Yes, you can't. The contacts will again be replicated every time you do a hard reset. So my solution is to delete all SIM contacts altogether. Save all into your Outlook contact. More secure as you won't lose any contacts if you lose the phone since you already have a backup in your Outlook.

You can try the extended battery but it defeats the purpose of getting a TD.

Here's my story using Maxis 3G. Last month was the first time I activated 3G, I got charged RM192. I don't blame them because out of excitement I tried using 3G for internet, the speed was acceptable but the charges was not. So today, the 10th day into my second month, my Unbilled Amount, from Maxis Web -> Personal Account -> Check Unbilled Amount was RM 6.78 . I am sure that I did not use any 3G in these 10 days and my reception icon did not turn to 3G or anything else. Besides that I also subscribed to Extra Byte (RM8 for 5MB of transfer).

I will wait until end of month to see how much Maxis charge me for "Not using 3G" and to decide whether I should terminate my 3G service. Maxis should have a better billing mechanism or they will lose all low frequency internet users like me. Sad but true.

Bro, I am very sure that I did not perform any of the 4 things listed. The 3G icon is even greyed out! I didn't even made or receive any calls since I'm just back from meeting and lunch. It is now up from my previous post at RM 6.78 to RM 7.53 currently. It might be other things which is contributing to the increase. Not to blame too early I'll wait till end of billing date.

Not using Push Mail bro. I'm a network engineer working in an internet company so I roughly know how bandwidth works. But I'm really clueless on this one. Somehow I have the feeling that they will still charge even if I turn off the phone...

I have no problems receiving MMS, just that I'm having the same problem during a video call. My video was not displayed on both sides but I'm able to see the recipient's video. Any additional settings need to be done?

Yeah, I experienced the same problem before. Register using the CE-Star key you receive with your purchased TD.

When you are creating a new sms, spell out the recipient's name in the "To:" field, then select Menu -> Check Names. It will then search your contacts for the best matches. If more than 1 are found, then you will need to select from a list, else it will be selected automatically.

What he meant was to insert his contacts into his message. Once you click on the message box the "Add Recipient" option will go grey and you won't be able to select it. For me I just "search name" for the contact I want and copy & paste it into the message. Not very efficient but at least it works.

We can easily get any softwares from the internet without effort. What I'm trying to say is that at least contribute back to the community. Don't be a leech..

Make sure Activesync is working before you connect Mapsource to your phone, also startup the Garmin app first. You can't upload or download maps, only waypoints, route or tracks. Its good to have the same map version for both your mapsource and TD. If all else fails, start installing Mapsource all over again using my installation files and procedures in my blog.

Guys, I normally keep my smses for 1 month. Eg, its 1st Oct now, so I will deleted all sms sent/received on Aug, July, etc.. Deleting sent msges is not a problem but deleting received sms is a problem because the Inbox is threaded. The only way for me now is to disable threaded sms (cont):

- Using your registry editor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\
- Create a new DWORD value
- Value Name: SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
- Value Data: 1

(cont) and then delete the old sms. Is there any more elegant ways out there?

I'm having some issue with the phone NOT going into power saving mode when phone is LOCKED. TD will enter power saving when it is UNLOCKED, but not during LOCKED. I'm using TLRv3. Is this the same case with other ROMs or is it just me?

Screen turning off. But I forgot to add that this does not always happen, which makes things worse.
