HTC P3700 Touch Diamond may not be the perfect phone (almost actually) but yet in terms of size and styling....hard to beat. Just take a look at the TD next to my other phone icon_rolleyes.gif

My TD next to my other phone

Some UK bloggers mentioned HTC offering 'another' ROM update for TD. Can somebody checked if this new ROM as SIS supplied ones? HTC Asia site do not offer such update though

Nevermind bro, got it this evening from LowYat. One shop gave a decent deal. Thanks. Very happy with the phone now. Just that the TouchFlo wasn't as smooth as I saw on the youtube reviews. What is the latest version of ROM anyway?
*
Latest ROM should be 1.37.707.1 WWE. Can be obtained from SIS centre only. LY got one. So whats the deal? Which shop?

If ur diamond got SIS MALAYSIA sticker u can upgrade at HTC centre. No SIS MALAYSIA sticker they wont entertain such request

Added on July 9, 2008, 10:15 pmWith 23 user here at LYN now and counting, TD must be one of the most popular WM devices ever?( after about a month in the market) Eventhough its expensive and have lot of bugs - still very 'hot' in the market due to nos of HTC innovation. Still not many female opted to buy this eventhough the form factor said to be suitable for a lady.

My Diamond Calendar always start with Agenda View (eventhough ive changed the setting to Month View) - not a biggie but its a bit annoying sad.gif Anybody facing the same problems?

Maxis selling the TD at RM2199 with freebies - with contracts of course but ive also come across lelong guys letting go 'new' TD at RM1799! drool.gif Not sure whether really 'new' or not plus i dont think its SIS ones. Still RM1799 is a very hard to believe price.

Is it true that only HTC devices can pull yahoo/gmail emails direct to the devices and LGKS20 cant do that? (according to Maxis tech la..)

HTC LYP shall relocate to a new place (surrounding LYP/Bukit Bintang/Times) soon. Anyway they said that newer official ROM for TD is available soon. To check with SIS within ten days or so

I think imgaylord new ROM could be the ones SIS plans to upgrade for existing 1.35/1.37 users? Cant wait to get the new ROM. I hope HTC would set up their new service centre somewhere near Bukit Bintang area...too lazy to go to Glenmarie. May i know the price for extended battery set.

Thanks

Thanks Candccom for the input. Btw anybody can gives me proper direction to SIS Glenmarie? Near DRB??? I guess SIS hit also by rising cost hence only one Service Centre? Hope the extended battery could fit in the slide HTC pouch

how does the extend battery back cover look like??

check this >> Worcell HTC diamond Battery

look so funny and ugly.

Whoooaaaaa shakehead.gif Thats really ugly man. I think HTC ones would be the same design as the slim cover albeit 'taller'. Ive seen somewhere - European site the case...quite okay. Slimmer than Touch Pro (but not that much different)

No doubt 1800 capacity is most welcome for TD ...but form factor is one of the reason i bought the TD. Im not sure whether to buy extended battery and waste my money coz already bought the pouch or get additional 900 battery? But to sacrifice my TD handsome look for 1800 battery - i dont think i would do that. Subjet to personal preferences

Maxis broadband? You mean the wireless internet wifi thing? Connect to wifi can no problem. Im using maxis 3G with full HSDPA support - depends on coverage area. I think during PC Fair...TD will come with some sort of extra freebies?? Maybe no price reduction...but stuffs like petrol voucher, external HD and BT??? drool.gif

Installed TF3D Configuration tweaks version 0.51 by Sascha Lange -xda dev. With standard 1.37 ROM - it works and i can really tell theres some improvement in the speed of the TF3D. Anyones who wish to improve TF3D w/o installing any cooked ROM should give it a try
