Pregnant women are v. likely to suffer from cramps throughout pregnancy. Most of the cramps will appear around legs and thumbs. I have never suffered from back cramp before, but if she does, ask her to sit up slowly after she wakes up every morning. Do not sit up straight too fast, that could be the reason?

If she suffers cramps from feet and thumbs, don't worry. You as her husband can help her ease the cramp or, she can also bent her feet towards herself to 30 degrees or so, to release the cramp.

I was taught by an old nurse. And it really worked.

Try Dr Silvam at Columbia Asia Hospital in Puchong. Attentive gynae I'd say. the price is v. v. reasonable, and the appointment system works ten times better than Sunway Medical Centre.

Yup, perhaps i am not clear enough in my statement before.  I was reluctant to do the sperm test on that day because on that night i was planning to do the "homework" with my wife.  And i think the doctor shouldn't advice me to do the sperm test if she knew that it's the fertile date for my wife? And i need to puasa 3 days before the sperm test.

Anyway, thx for your reply.  Just to drop in here get some helpful advice and not anything else.

Hi, maybe I can point you to this doctor (whom I have no experience with, but my friends do). He's Dr. Wong Pak Seng at Sunway, who's v. wellknown for IVF treatment and fertility advices. Of course, if you don't want an IVF, he won't push you to do it, unless no choice given. But I heard he's good in giving reproductive advices. All the best!

hi mummy and papa out there, is there any socks specially for pregnant women?
*
I know there's something called Compression Stockings in the market made especially for pregnant women to promote comfort, and to prevent from leg cramp, and so on.

You can ask around if you can find them in Malaysian market, but in my own case, I never need to use any of those during my pregnancy. I just use the normal socks when I sleep at night because my skin tends to dry up easily during pregnancy, so I'd apply foot cream every night and protect them with socks.

I also wore the ordinary socks during confinement.

hi everyone, want to ask if any mummys that experience morning sickness and headaches in 2nd trimester? 1st trimester was a breeze...
*
Me! During my first pregnancy, my morning sickness only kicked in from 16 weeks onwards. While everyone was enjoying their 2nd trimester 'honeymoon', I was the only one who'd throw up one and off.

And during this pregnancy, my morning sickness can happen at any point of time. I must say, I'm not that lucky as a pregnant woman sad.gif

Headaches for me, they came only in the first trimester. I don't have any headache anymore after the first three months smile.gif

Sorry, I don't have tips to share on "combating" morning sickness though.

is bleeding during the 1st trimester normal?
*
Spotting can happen during the first trimester, but the chance is not high (yet classified as "normal) and normally only 1 occasion with light amount.

Check with your OBGYN if the bleeding is frequent and "profuse".
