After more than 24 hours in the labor room, my wife just gave birth to my first baby boy at Gleneagles Ampang.
Surprisingly she handles the labor pain quite well. She seems cool and not much making noise even though the contraction chart is showing 50 to 90. Cervix didn't want to open, kept at 1.5cm for more than 18 hours till the water bag broke. Only then the cervix starts to open up. From 1.5cm to 10cm in 7 hours. She only took 1 injection (pain killer) at the later night cause couldn't sleep and some 'laughing' gas when cervix is at 8.5cm to 10cm.
Delivering the baby took about 45 minutes of pushing. Baby head didn't want to come out. She was about to go for emergency operation, but dr said use vacuum and try sucking the baby out first. Which he managed to. Only problem is baby head became quite long like a bullet shape. Dr said few days/weeks later the head will go back to normal. So much blood and blood smell. I saw the process of baby coming out from the below. Thought would pengsan, but lucky no.
After 2 hours from delivering the baby, she still can walk and go to toilet... I never knew my wife is that strong. Totally under estimate a super mummy. I am so proud of her.

Now she is learning to breast feed the baby. Baby doesn't seem wanting the breast milk. I think he doesn't know how to suck on it yet. We will keep trying...
