erm to the OP:
the decision to take in lower geared ppl into a swp guild is simple due to the existance of need, if u guys needed extra players then do it, if not then just /ignore i guess..

what we used to judge applicant by is how well they have stocked up on badge gears really. its a good gauge on their dedication and such.. considering no blues and green gear involved most players are pretty similar actually, u bring them in on your weekly quicky kara badge run, see their gear and see their meter output, then u get their level of skill approximately.

what you should worry about (and probably what is the most important factor) is their attitude though.. most morons play nice very extendedly until they are geared hehe, and them become the absolute bastards... but u really cant tell that from their app or the initial g-rank period. with this factor, i guess it makes kara gear / badge gears or ssc/tk geared players all the same, they are still gonna get your bt/mh gear and pwn for some period of time, its what becomes of them AFTER that matters...
