C:\Downloads\BitComet_1_02.exe » NSIS » BitComet.exe » PECompact v2.xx - probably unknown NewHeur_PE virus

Seen like it is the NOD32 heuristic scan think that it is a virus...
It is probably false positive.

Try report this to NOD32 and hope they will have new update to avoid this false positive.

But if they certified that it is not false positive, then we have to stick back to previous version

so is that virus "unknown NewHeur_PE virus" harmful? downloaded already scanned with NOD32 also get that msg...haven't install it though...

No, that is most probably false positive because only NOD32 flag it as malware... and it flag it in the way by "heuristic", thats mean it doesn't have the signature, but just think that the code acting like malware.

If other anti-virus software also flag it as malware, then only we can said it is unsafe...

any links from where u download the bitcomet without the virus warning one? thx notworthy.gif

It is not the link that cause NOD32 have virus warning on BitComet... sweat.gif

update your NOD32, then try scan the bitcomet_setup.exe file again
it is no longer a "threat"
