BitComet is a p2p file-sharing freeware fully compatible with Bittorrent, which is one of the most popular p2p protocol designed for high-speed distribution of 100MB or GB sized files. It is probably false positive. Try report this to NOD32 and hope they will have new update to avoid this false positive. But if they certified that it is not false positive, then we have to stick back to previous version |

so is that virus "unknown NewHeur_PE virus" harmful? downloaded already scanned with NOD32 also get that msg...haven't install it though...

for this version, after 100% downloaded, certain files extension are still carrying .bc!, so i need to manual hash check. anyone experience the same thing?

No, that is most probably false positive because only NOD32 flag it as malware... and it flag it in the way by "heuristic", thats mean it doesn't have the signature, but just think that the code acting like malware.If other anti-virus software also flag it as malware, then only we can said it is unsafe...
