but at rm600, better i buy stacker 830. alu, removable mobo tray, and atx/btx interchangeability.

but this case looks abit like lian li armorsuit.

i like the design...good for overclocking enthusiast...add dust filter on the side, front and top...plus the top fan can be replace with ur WC radiator (there is an ample space for it)...u can refer HERE for more pictures...casing has a good cable management...basically..it's an improve version of CM690...the industrial look may not to everyone's liking but in term of performance this should beat Cosmos handsdown...the pricing is a little too steep for a non-alu case...hopefully it wont be 600 as stated here...singapore maybe selling it between 200-300...so u do the math... just offering my 2 cents here...and...i'm definitely getting one myself once it arrives... icon_rolleyes.gif

i'm a sucker for big cases...too bad i'm still using my stacker....

perhaps most ppl dun like "industrial-look" cases, but for middle-aged/old ppl...i reckon they'll sell...

i like it personally, and if i didn't have my stacker, i'll go for it....

If this casing only cost 4++, it is really an alternative choice in between 6++ and 2++ casing.

This casing should be used to compete with Antec 900.

What you guys think about this HAF932 and Antec 900?

I still prefer CM690 over HAF. The difference around RM200 can buy you more fans to put inside the case for better cooling. But just my theory, though. smile.gif

I like the position of the Power and Reset button.... putting it facing up at the end of the casing is a good idea... I think. Only downside is when resting your hand on the casing, you might accidently depress it but its rather unlikely... design wise the casing looks kinda ugly unsure.gif

The design was not really bad anyway, but i'm more prefer to CM Cosmos S ( i like the handle anyway and the looks like sports car, even the mobo tray cannot be removed at least it's big not really hard to use it!), Thermaltake Armour+ or Lian-Li Armorsuit. Anyway Lian-Li price tags really kills me, but in terms of handcraft quality it's really good than any other brand that mostly using factory production. I really love High Tower Case. Lately, doesn't like the mid-tower 'coz the space is too limited for me! biggrin.gif

I guess this is another armour case in term of brand from CoolerMaster. tongue.gif

I am getting this casing soon with the Coolermaster V8.
I will be posting some reviews soon when I got the time.
Anybody here bought the case? I cant seem to find the ready stock.
Retail is around 499 to 460.

Hi ..i planing to build a new pc....i got several question wanted to ask you..

1) is this case seriously..does not have dusty problem?
2) i'm thinking of getting cm Stacker 832 case..so which one better?
3) ok here is my spec that will build..will this fit in this case?

P C2Q Q9400/9500
4GB RAM
1TB Seagate hdd
700W/1kW PSU
Nvidia GTX 280 ** future might make it SLI

....something like this..will this spec suitable for that case? (Haf 932) i'm consider about air flow and dust problem

of cause got little bit dusty problem....but this casing(HAF 932) have a very awsome airflow...
if the side panel u don't want to use the original large fan, u can replace or change to 4pcs of 12cm case fan...!!!!

This is a nice one. But how's about the internal layout? Any picture?
Since it's from CM, guess this case can do cable management quite well right?

airflow is good if u choose the right fan @ just use the standard fan.it is bcoz this is full tower & there are lot of space.so, fan with with good cfm is recommended.

This HAF932 remind me of my old cm ammo 533. I think this will very heavy some more it doesn't have handle, hard to carry around. I remember last time i bring my PC to low yat for repair, just carry it from car park to level 3 already make my hand red and pain. No recommed to those who like mobility or always shifting house tongue.gif

this casing got a major problem with dust.in a long term,sure dust will fill it.without any dust filter it will make it even faster.
The cooling is very nice for me but stacker is a better casing with alu material.
Anyhow..google to find any pros and cons about this casing.Seen my frens using one.

the pros and the cons of the casing is :

Pros:

* Tool-free design
* Incredible air flow
* Fans can be replaced with several 120mm ones
* Easy cable management
* Great look
* Liquid cooling ready
* Power supply can be mounted either on the top or bottom
* Quiet

Cons:

* Only one 3.5" external bay
* Processor power cable extension might not fit all motherboards

The 2x230mm and 140mm fans are standard right?

yeah okay...the downside of this case is that it's heavy bcoz it's not made of aluminium.

i like the custom look of this case though some might not like the military style case.

loongking...are you building a gaming rig?

i'm building one too... almost same as yours getting a palit 9800gtx+ non-reference heatsink

what cpu do u want to get?

there's probably going to be a special edition or nvidia edition or something though. but the current version of this casing is more than enough to make me buy it.

loongking, i suggest getting a Q6600 and overclock it to 3.0Ghz easily..seriously this proc is really easy to oc. don't get q9400 cause this proc is hard to oc. I can easily say the performance is same as q6600. im not sure about q9550. higher proc numbers like Q9xxx series doesn't meat that it's better.

suggest u getting a Q6600 or Q6700. period.

i really don't know about oc'ing much. but i know that q6600 and q6700 is really to oc and i'm going to oc it after i get it.

Hmmm I just got this case, but somehow feel that the huge 23cm fans should blow stronger, was wondering will it improve (or even downgrade) airflow significantly if i swap out the side 23cm fan for 4 reasonably good 120mm fans? anyone tried this?

wah serious? ok will take a look first hehe, but the picture of the HAF 932 with red led fans on the side really damn cun on the CM website, makes it look so mean! might be worth modding, but i scared mod till cun, then airflow not cun anymore =(

hey bro, how high is 'high'? I'm looking at coolermaster's led silent fan 120mm, officially rated at 1200rpm and 42.7cfm. Would four of this put side by side bring in better airflow than a single 75cfm 230mm fan?

Thanks for helping rclxms.gif

bro i got this from coolermaster forums, posted by one of their support people i think:

http://forum.coolermaster.com/viewtopic.ph...10673&start=105

Front: 230 x 30 mm red LED fan x 1, 700 rpm, 19 dBa (75 CFM)
Side: 230 x 30 mm standard fan x 1, 700 rpm, 19 dBa (support 120 x 25 fan x 4)(75 CFM)
Top: 230 x 30 mm standard fan x 1, 700 rpm, 19 dBa (support 120 mm fan x 3 or 120 mm x 1 + 230 x 30 mm x 1)(75CFM)
Rear: 140 x 25 mm standard fan x 1, 1200 rpm, 17 dBa (support 120 mm fan x 1)(57 CFM)

so yeah all the 230mm fans are 75CFM

on a side note, anyone know of a good 140mm fan that can beat the stock fan of the 932?

actually I do have a very old (more than 5 years) blue coolermaster 120mm fan, running at 1200rpm. not sure what CFM, but when i put side by side with the stock 230mm fan, both running 100% can feel the 120mm fan more power lar...

therefore i am 'quite' confident that 4 x 1200rpm 120mm fans can be better than a single 700rpm 230mm fan

Yes, eventually tt thunderblade 12cm fan has a great power cfm of raching 80 but the sound is much louder compare 2 the others. But in terms of performance and the pricing is thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I have few thunderblades as well, but mine is rainbow color, i dont think its suitable for u ppl here that building a red theme. wink.gif

hi bro, will you be interested in buying some good red led fans for the side panel? someone might be doing an MO for zalman red led fans, just to let you know wink.gif

I'm thinking of putting two white 12cm led fans on the top (replace the large 23cm fan), and four red led fans at the side, and 1 white led fan to take up three 5.25" bays for air intake. Not sure white and red led combo works anot, hope it does laugh.gif

i oso planning 2 put a 12cm fan at the 5.25" bay.. it will b nice if use UV reflective fan... coz i put the neon light in it.. will fix it 2molo..see if it works out or not...

about the LEDs, i wan 2 put leds on the 3 stock fans is tat posible.. i tink so... nvr try b4.. any source can i get on how 2 do it?
anyway wat is the price of the led u can get?

i oso added a 12cm fan at the bottom of the case... but i find it have 2 put grills.. coz my screw drop in it... hard 2 take it out... then the cables oso some times went in.. then it will b zzz sound...

sure can, just note that the 23cm fans dun use ordinary screws but bolts, so got to use alan key (is that wad u call it?) to remove. I think the front fan (23cm red led) cannot change tho, coz no mountings for 12cm fans.

hmmm i actually sourced quite abit for red LED fans, and really there's 3 i found so far:
1) Coolermaster neon silent red led fans @ about rm30 each, but so far haven't found anywhere got stock. most only stock blue led fans
2) Zalman ZM-F3 red fan @ about rm40 each, lalaman said he might be doing an MO for it, which I'll be joining lar, read some reviews online this fan is best for coloured LED and silence
3) kenneth87 selling some oem red led fans too @ about rm20 each, might wanna contact him for specs and details;)

or if u have extra time, can take pic of pure red side and white top haha... think quite alot of ppl wanna see that effect. but in any ways, red and white looks good!! rclxms.gif

full tower bro, lots of space so no worries about expansion. And cables all go nicely to the back which is a luxury I din have with my wavemaster before blush.gif

And best of all, it's cheap! Only problem is that there are no dust filters, *might* attract dust easier than other cases. Also haha you'll be tempted to add in lots and lots of fans like us here wink.gif

yeah no luck bro, lalaman said he might do an MO for zalman ZM-F3 fans, but it's abit costly at 40rm per piece. Will u be interested?

haha i dun really believe in dBa ratings provided by manufacturers, they are always using different standards leh. My idea is fans above 1200rpm should start to get audible, especially if put in a few together, just my 2 cents worth smile.gif

oh the top area that's near the front panel rite? I my dvd drive blocking leh, and it's like partially covered by the top casing, so I think outflow will be kinda blocked isn't it? just wondering if there's any value in adding a fan there?

okay i finally got 4 coolermaster red led fans to put at the side, 2 scythe kaze white led fans to put at the top... but my camera really JUST spoilt on me cry.gif will post up asap...

I also changed out the exhaust 140mm fan (1200rpm) to a scythe kaze maru (1900rpm), and boy that fan pushes out lots of air but abit noisy hehe... also installed a san ace 2000rpm fan at the front bay to kick up air intake... getting very good temperatures now hehe so i'm happy biggrin.gif I really have to recommend this case for the freedom it gives in expandability, all the fan holes are there where u need it...

on a sidenote, i HIGHLY recommend any 1600rpm fans from scythe! the two 120mm white led fans run at 1600rpm, confirm much higher airflow than a single 230mm fan, and noise level is pretty much the same (near negligible)... of coz unless you really stick your ear beside the fan lar...if not it really is inaudible from far smile.gif

wad mountings are on the radiator? The top has mountings for up to 3 x 120mm fans, and I've read quite a few reviews where it supports radiator mounting, since it's oriented towards water coolers too... from HAF 932 specs:

Top: 230x200x30mm standard fan x 1 / 700 rpm / 19dBA
(support 120mm fan x 3 or 120mm x 1 + 230x30mm x 1)

Hope that helps =D

thanks bro! the front right fan right, actually can just DIY and just place a fan there, but I went ahead to buy one of those bay accessories that lets u fix a fan there... but just to note i think u need a pretty powerful fan to be useful there, at least 1600 rpm? i put a 1200rpm one can't feel anything inside the case haha...

errrm CM690 is mid-tower bro? i think it's more about a matter of whether you want full tower or mid tower then. Assuming you want full tower, HAF932 is very good value for money haha! Also full tower gives you much more expandability, more space in case and good airflow... which were all important to me in making my decision lar haha

haha that's good stuff! anyways to HAF932 owners, is it just me, or is it just very hard to properly manage cable behind the case? It looks nice and neat in front, but practically world war 3 at the back! I even had to use force to close the side panel =(

oh ya... can some1 measure for me the space between the mounting holes for the 120mm fan at the top of the case till the top most part of the mobo?? please and tq..

yo bro, assuming i got it correct, it should be about 11-12 cm. From the top grill, to exactly where the mobo's edge is.

oh the zalmans, lalaman say the distributor dun want to bring in or something like that, so that's pretty much a no-go. If u really want, again simlim also got sell at 25S$ per piece, crazy mahal but i think buy 4 can shave off 3-4S$ per piece.

@ysiuan: haha go for it bro, i think it's nice haha... i seriously think the 230mm fans are useless, just to make it sound big but really not much airflow. I replaced with 4 1200rpm fans also not much more noise, but sure alot more air =D

@hongwoon: wah go for MO! but sure gonna be expensive lar this fan... locally already priced at 40-50. all the best bro wink.gif

@ysiuan: haha go for it bro, i think it's nice haha... i seriously think the 230mm fans are useless, just to make it sound big but really not much airflow. I replaced with 4 1200rpm fans also not much more noise, but sure alot more air =D

@hongwoon: wah go for MO! but sure gonna be expensive lar this fan... locally already priced at 40-50. all the best bro wink.gif

haha yeah to each his own, think Coolermaster took a huge gamble with this case. Ugly i think some might agree, but childish i dun think so haha... it's totally on the opposite end of childish, with it's no frills,low bling (unless u add urself) and totally mean looks

but that said, to each his own =D

psu as per my signature........btw my is not watercooling, TEC cooling is slight different

temp is around the same as my stacker 830....... cpu 45oC ~ 65oC, nb 45oC, GPU 40 ~65oC @57% fan speed.

basically this casing has less sound dampening, so fan noise is actually quite audiable...

Added on November 18, 2008, 6:50 pmone thing i find about casing thats lacking

although cm was really good in designing this casing

but ultimately the best config should be

atx = psu above
btx = psu below.

cstkl1 mind to explain why safe to run at HDD cage? it a bit far, may be the tube are not long enough

well it true the psu better to be on top instead of bottom........

not so difficult to spray, just disassemble everything then u good to go.

PSU is originally red.

Currently aquamax is totally out of stock from supplier side... Im also busy looking for 1 unit to my customer located in sabah. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif Btw, i can see that most of u have nice setting there.. haha..

I personally fix this case before for a forumer, and indeed, this casing is worth every cent for it as a full tower atx casing. But 1 thing which i dontlike is, supplier keep increasing the pricing from month to month...

2 months ago, the casing is Rm 450, and now shoot up to Rm480. shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

I personally fix this case before for a forumer, and indeed, this casing is worth every cent for it as a full tower atx casing. But 1 thing which i dontlike is, supplier keep increasing the pricing from month to month...

2 months ago, the casing is Rm 450, and now shoot up to Rm480.  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif

haha... coz high demand ma... sure will increase price.. any1 can find me C.M Aqua Gate Max for me? how much?

I didnt use the old side panel fan o...because no other place can fit the big fan.

I spent total RM270 for 5 red led 120mm fans,a pair of red aurora and a CM 4in3 module... sweat.gif expensive...

Its dimention is 22.2"x9.6"x22"

I bought it for RM480,I think now it is much cheaper.I think it is better than CM690.
I bought CM690 before and I prefer HAF932 for bigger interior and can fit more fans...especially "red" rclxms.gif
