QUOTE(enriquelee @ Jul 10 2008, 10:55 PM) Is optoma HD65 come with colour adjustment? Coz i need to get the true colour of photo It does have a setting for photo in the menu but I am not sure whether it is giving out true colour of photo as I am totally hopeless in photography. Maybe other HD65 users can give their opinions / views on this. Anyway, here's the features : http://asia.optoma.com/product/ProductDeta...==&Type=Feature

I think most probably will trip since single phase can support only 3hp only and you are using 4hp. correct if I am wrong.

QUOTE(iman_210 @ Jul 11 2008, 11:07 PM) if that the case then yuhuu...a dedicated room would be on its way then...thanx for the advise guys...hope for a lotful bonus... Going to join our club eh? As for my pad, the combined hp is 5.5. But, never on above 2 units since only 3 of us in the pad. So, single phase aint a problem to me (for now)

QUOTE(Jediknight8820 @ Jul 15 2008, 09:50 PM) new member reporting in, just got hitch on HD65. need a lot of inputs on the setting from the seniors here. I am sure fellow users here will be grateful to help out. Btw, what is your screen size? Using fixed screen? When I go over, maybe we can give Mega a call whether he want to join us and bring some BDs to test.

QUOTE(rx330 @ Jul 17 2008, 09:35 PM) dunno ler, tempted to get a cheap popcorn, but the new dvico... HBR lar... dem stim If that's the case, I wld rather buy Dvico to enjoy HBR. No need to upgrade in near future. Popcorn might be way cheaper but HBR is the way to go.

Rainbow effects will be more pronounced if the brightness setting gets higher. What's your setting?
Then again, certain indiividual with less sensitive eyes are not so prone to rainbow effects. Maybe have to ask jediknight8820 since he is also an ex-SP4805 user.

QUOTE(silbii @ Jul 18 2008, 12:20 PM) brightness setting now has never been above 0...is this high? sometimes i reduce it a bit to -5, depending on type of film and ambient light conditions...colour sometimes i reduce to -12 to make it less yellow/ orange but it'll kacau the reds pulak....damn...a bit lot with all this colour tweaks lah and i use a cap ayam upconvert player now that can upconvert using component, no hdmi...funny some dvds i can upconvert to 720p, but some can't...like batman begins...it's an ori dvd...but no matter how i set, it'll go back to 576i...then i have to set to 576p...but this film icould never set to 720p...why ah? other films have no prob in upconversion.....any thoughts? or is it the dvd or pj? or coz it's cap ayam? hehe Most probably the problem lies in the DVDP itself. I am using DV-400s (obsolete) for my DVD source. It upscales consistently at 720p and its PQ is very good at this price. Hackwire also using DV-400S. No problem.
