Cannot be. Sure have diff. You try THX calibration disc. In the sharpness setting section, can see the difference. Btw, I am using Pioneer DV-400S.

In this case, I dont think the source is the problem

i am using avia disc with 78h.. adjusting the sharpness to max or min doesnt change  the test pattern at all.. strange
*

Only for this particular function? How abt when watching BD? Can adjust the sharpness and see the difference? It should have noticable difference.

i use the DVE (Digital Video Essential) i face the same problem too. it does not change. HTKaki. is this true?
*

Are you using DV-400S? Try to use THX calibration disc and see.

Sometime the image look so clear but when i took picture it ended up so bad because of my camera or my zero knowledge as a photographer.
I think I have tried one time too many. Gave up. It doesnt look that good even I tried using tripod. Maybe have to get a nice camera to do that.

Try using THX disc or your Pioneer DV-400S. Btw, some ppl encountered lens problem after watching DVDs using PS3. I dare not to take the risk

the picture wasnt paused. Seriously, i dont know how to take good picture
*

I think it may be due to the camera. It was quite good compared to mine. My previous shot :

I used the wrong ISO setting. Hence, a lot of 'noise' in the photo. I will take some shots of my HD65 setting as well as screenshots of 300 and Black Hawk Down BD.

bro, semalam i try taking also... jialat.... picture shaky like hell.... my hand trembling.... cant really get a good picture...

finally, finish a movie with my wife yesterday, dem kesian, both sitting on a stoll.....

accroding to wife, projector still the best thumbup.gif
* she used to think tat pj are suppose to be blurry tongue.gif
*

Later, I will try to take some shots.

A lot of people have the misconception that projector is blurry and needs total darkened room, which is wrong as most of HD pj in the market today are bright and beam up excellent picture. rx330, your wife rejected the idea of a HD pj at first. Now, she is enjoying it. Seeing is believing tongue.gif

Hi, drop a PM to hackwire. He will welcome you for a demo. The bulb is abt RM580.

Here's the setting of my HD65 for afternoon viewing due to ambient light in my room

And afternoon (1.30pm) viewing with ambient light. Source is DiVX file in pendrive via DV-400S. This will dispel off any myth about a need for total darkened room.

What is the DivX file resolution? Is it 624 x 352?

Hehe.... yeah... as funny as ever. biggrin.gif

The rez is 640 x 352. I didnt expect it to look that 'decent' on my HD65 thumbup.gif

bro, i like to visit your place..
like to test your sound system.

the sunlight on top is a turn off. can u block it with something. i think i have a solution for u.

by the way, i have this trouble calibrating for the right colour and contrast. Due to the DVD and PS3 im using. i kept going forward and backward adjusting the colour , brightness and contrast.

My question is whether i should use the DVD remote control to calibrate or use the projector remote control? or both? if use projector remote to calibrate the, colour and contrast , the dvd picture quality may have to calibrate again. Is there a Saving for different customization in the PRojector>
Bro, cant seal it off due to HM issue sweat.gif Have to live with it.

I use the DVDP and PS3 to adjust now as there is only 1 user setting in HD65. Then again, the default setting of HD65 is quite good. Only thing is you need to adjust the brightness according to your ambient light.

Just back from dinner. Not going to take screenshots tonight. Maybe tomorrow.

superwide not meant for 16:9. It is for 2.35:1

Any DVD with THX has this calibration in it. Both audio and visual.

Using LX2 to tk this? Very nice shot. Btw, to make more informative for other users, can state the setting of the cam, the room environment (darkened, ambient light, etc) and your HD65 setting

Image AI is the 'booster' for contrast. However, it has to sacrifice the bulb's life since it wont be running in eco mode.

Bro, so unlucky. Mine is okay (touch wood). I think mega's HD65 clocked the most hours here. Anyway, yours is under warranty. You send it back to the shop that you bought up north.

Sorry for bad luck.

This is one of those cases, where it's not advisable to buy without warranty... all luck
*

As far as I am concerned, new HD65 should have warranty if it is bought in Malaysia. Since HD65 is less than a year model and taking into consideration of the usage of the bulb, I dont think there is any issue with warranty claim if mys_terious send it back to the shop that he bought from. smile.gif

Do let us know of the diagnosis. I hope this is an isolated issue. I watched 2 movies in a row yesterday afternoon; P2 and Vantage Point. The pj doesnt seems to be 'quiet hot'
