yesterday, some bot at 8.3x say regret becos it closed at 8.29, shud hv waited.

now, it is 8.42-8.43. maybe also regret, regret shud hv bot more at 8.3x.

only human...

maybank now 8.45/8.46.

anyone regret buying yesterday?

i will add... biggest dips for biggest chips.
i will not say the same for most others.

anyway, i m pretty sure everyone was eyeing maybank and cimb, even rhbcap. it was a matter of how low these biggies will go.

no one has a crystal ball. not one but many balls to see what's coming for oil, dow, fed, russia. so, a matter of calculated risk. bit more luck, gain more, bit less luck, gain less.

i did good with manybank but missed on rhbcap... becos the broker screwed up on my credit limit!

i hav maybank, first one for a log time. used it many years ago, still active.

not sure if things are diff now, more competitive. cimb offerred significantly better rates for me a few years ago, can trade in several bourses online too.

sold all my maybank today 9.19.

that made the other losses at bursa 2014 bearable.

bursa lost 5% or so in 2014, so if u made money, give yrself a pat on yr own back.

maybank definitely spooked by this 1mbd thingy. other banks seem to be infected too!

there is also the bigger question of low oil price - how much is maybank and other banks' exposure to o&g cos. like armada, skpetro, icon? oil price likely to stay at 50-55 for a year or 2... what damage to these banks?
