I agree with you.

all the multiplatform games offer no improvement over their Xbox 360 counterpart despite having more space on offer, and the pricing for the PS3 version is always higher than the Xbox 360.

that's why I have (or rather will have) both smile.gif PS3 only for exclusives, Xbox 360 for the rest. unless if there's a significant difference in the PS3 version of a multiplatform game.

Well, Sub asked whether it is worth our money to buy such multiplatform games... i would say Yes and No. It really depends on the game quality. So i gave example... Star Wars game. It is out on Xbox, PS3 and PS2. So do u think it is worth it? I think so cos it is fun and cool. And i believe there will be lots of difference among all consoles.

sub said what I wanted to say.

the question at hand isn't whether multiplatform games are worth it or not, it's whether the price difference between the PS3 version and Xbox 360 versions is justifiable or not.

of course whether we buy it or not depends on the quality. sorry to say but your reply wasn't relevant.

and based on the way things are now, there's virtually NO DIFFERENCE in the games across the consoles.

in what way does a big userbase leads to cost-effectiveness?

I think you meant to say it's easier to program for the Xbox 360 compared to the PS3.

spammers GTFO and don't ruin a healthy discussion please wink.gif

does anyone else realise that the PS3 is lacking the genre that was so famous for the PS2, which is RPG?

man the Sony systems are so known for their RPGs, but we have yet to see a proper JRPG on the system, whereas the Xbox 360 already has two. it shows that developers are supporting the genre that has the most gamers, FPS. very bad trend, because there are just too many of 'em around!

haha this thread IS where we voice out our dissatisfactions for the PS3, be it in optimization or games right? tongue.gif

I smell console wars coming soon. Theres not much diff between this two consoles anyway. Zillions of comment had been compare against this two consoles and in the end no diff at all. Stop being fooled by fanboys criticizms and comparison. They weighed the same on equal sides if u try to compare both sides problems and awesomeness. In the end in terms of stability and convenience, still pc blows this two aside. Let's juz cast FF and other rpgs aside, pc still run the current games pretty well and u can online and play pirated also. No ROD, no blu ray failure. No overheating issues. Can watch porn, watch movie , watch anime , download other stuff and listen to mp3 while playin game too. Tonnes of Online game out there for u to grab instead of waiting for ps3 or xbox360 games to out.

then what are you doing in Consoles Couch to begin with?

we are not engaging in a console war, as you can see here the discussion has been very healthy and neutral, save for a few nonconstructive replies we've received every now and then. we're not discussing about superiority of systems. we're just discussing about the PS3's unfulfilled potential and unjustified high pricing of games over the opposition.

anyway, back to topic, I really hope that the PS3 developers can maximize the potential of the PS3 and deliver us some of the great games that are trademarks of Sony's consoles, great RPGs. Imagine how great of an RPG can be put inside a 50GB blu-ray disc.

MGS4 is enough to make some people sway and get a machine just for that (like me) but it's definitely not the PS3's saving grace. the follow-ups that Sony makes after the release of MGS4 will be wink.gif

no way I'm gonna play a 100-hour storyline RPG tongue.gif

they can exploit the space to include heavier action sequences.. more sidequests.. that sort of thing.

but yea creating an RPG takes alot of time and effort for the developers.

Wao....  the title is gone..... now pop up a word "Sometime i feel XBOX 360 user are so d*mb. "
Bcoz of this word, thats why the war will never end. Maybe i should get myself a popcorn too.
Maybe MGS4 is  the best at gameplay and story. Graphic? I dun think so, i can find many game title graphic r much better than MGS4.
