my robo sometimes smelly, why ah?
coz i change their bedding every 5days and the toilet every 2-3days..
all the fur looks clean and smooth..
my ww never smelly..

thats why...
i put sand bath and toilet sand as well...
but now the smell reduce a bit..
is it possible he become smelly because stress?
because last time he is alone, now got "housemate" already, hehe..

i was thinking of starting a hamster blog/mini webpage. (inspired by Hun jiejie's suggie blog)

yay ada supporters!! hmm, i wont be very free, but i will always try to update.
cause i feel that there are many more hamster owners out there, but some are not willing to listen to our comments and guidance and etc, they take it as flame and all, so better let them read and all instead of we telling them.

suddenly found out that my female hamsters dont cling to me a lot, but the male one from my housemate cling to me more. i can do anything to him

wanna ask u all wut brand is good as toilet sand<other brand>...i've tried delikate bath sand b4<the very soft 1>

as u all said that bath sand n toilet sand is different...

plis recommend me those that are affordable--as i am college student--no side income de...huhu....

BTW guys, I saw something *i dunno how to describe my feeling* in Pet Family that day. Remember that I mentioned they had a tonne of hamsters in each tank? Buy 1 free 1?

They went into another level. they started COLORING their hamsters. I think it's highlight or dye. They made the syrians blue, yellow or pink and put it in a display tank stating "not for sale".

I didn't know how to react when my bf gestured me to go over and showed me a yellow syrian sleeping with a powder blue syrian.

hey...I got 2 hams yesterday....eh....they cant climb cubes and the water bottle is at 2nd floor....not to ask how to let them drink but how to train them climb tubes and y these hams are so noob one??? altough they r tame and lovely but stupid until cannot climb tubes...i saw one trying to climb...somewhere in the middle.he fall down.... =.=

lolx... i use woody pet, i kida like the smell.. more than normal bedding like delikate or chipsi... how can u find it smelly?

jayniel, ur hamsters are soooooooo tempting lah. but my mom will make noise if i take up more space in the house for the tanks

Thanks Hun.   I'll check him out with his undercoat when I can handle him. Now he is getting use to the new environment cos his previous environment and treatment is so bad and he is so scared of everything. He will scream very loudly and style like wanna fight, very defensive still. I need more time to tame him.

It's heart breaking when we are on our way bringing him home.  The shop owner give us a 500mls mineral bottle with the side cut with some holes and a entrance for him to go in then sealed up with sellotape and let us bring home cos they don't have a box as carrier. We are like car racing kind of driving home with him struggling inside the bottle. Never expect a pet shop will give such a carrier for customer to bring a pet home. Some more ask us to buy a pair cos we can get cheaper.

hmmmm....  ok this is the whole story..
in oversea.. hammi owner already feeding a balance fresh for long time, but in malaysia( gals n boys i am not tlaking about u all bad, but this is what i really see. that is why i want to encorage hammi onwer feed a balance fresh deit) we are still steps behind.. we do not hv the idea how the difference it can give us with the balance fresh diet. as before, alot ppl thin too much fresh will cos diarrhea.. YES, it will if feeding a wrong fresh diet.  and fresh vege n fruits wouldn't obese the hammi. it only giving the hammi the nutrition they should have. then they will grow up to the size they should be.  but our hammi gene is so call 'koyak' so no matter how we privide the best.. they will nto able to grow umtil 7in and 200+gm,  we should feed Nutrition n protien, but not fat.  with the wheel we give our hammi, they will not be obese.

Yes. Only one side of the hamster is hopelessly oily. The legless side...

Long story cut short:
i suspect there is a female among them, which i don't wish them to inbreed and i wanted to seperate the female. however, i have difficulties to differentiate which one is male or female, where they looks REALLY similar to me. i've done all the research i could by googling but i can't really get a clear picture to differentiate them yet.. trust me, i can differentiate other species but no robo.. could anyone help me out here? in the sake of hamsters, please..

maybe ur robos are all male or all female... coz in 4months old, u can c the different.. robo and other hams are the same lar...
