Dear Low Yatters,

I know many Malaysians out there are facing with certain hair loss problems. I was once a sufferer of hair loss since i was 19 years old. My father is bald and so are my uncles..so I think fate will surely come to me..I went through treatment from all those 'local' speciallist shops that are found in the newspapers..(I don't want to mention names here). The 'hair expert' told me that she cannot promised me a full recovery but can only maintain my hairline.

For that promise, she expects me to pay RM 10k for no guarantee!. Of course she can't guarantee me..no one can..but i was desperate so I paid. Nope, didn't work..10k down the drain (can buy Sony Viao Laptop for that money) The only way you can survive hair loss is that you help yourself. I have done tonnes of research to help myself and now it's working. So I want to share this information with you. (You can buy me a drink if it works for you) brows.gif

It takes more effort than just Propecia and Rogaine and yes, I am still using both of them. But you need to change your diet and lifestyle as well as taking certain supplements that contains BIOTIN (Vitamin B Group). B Vitamins are very good source of energy for your hair. If you change and adjust your lifestyle a bit (I still go clubbing) you can really stop hair loss. Also don't expect your hair to grow back in 3 months, if you have serious hair loss, it will take months and years for recovery..

When i had hair loss, it was a total confidence meltdown for me, very (SUSAH) even when i go out everyone was looking at my head. Even want to court girl also cannot. But now after 10 years of research and looking for the right solution, i've cured my hair loss and got the girl of my dreams!. No one is looking at my hair now!! Hey, I am not selling any products here ok, but I want to give my fellow Low Yatters and Malaysians a way to handle and cure hair loss. No products, just methods and understanding on how it happens and ways on Surviving Hair Loss!

You can see further on my website. All the best to all the sufferers!! icon_rolleyes.gif

Regards,

Calvin

(PS: Please comment on my website if you think I need to improve)

xtine it's normal to lose 50 - 100 hairs daily so it's normal..btw are you girl or guy? If you are a girl then it's unlikely you got pattern baldness so young...

T+1, male pattern baldness is reversible..if you use hair styles..it will only last for years till all your hair falls out. If you can afford it and have patience..i can suggest a few products for you to stop hair loss..provided your stage of pattern baldness is still early. Let me know if you are interested.

Honestly, I was just wondering has anyone gone to Yun Nam and manages to recover their hair? I am refering to Pattern Baldness and not stress related hair loss like Telogen Effluvium.

I don't sell Rogaine Foam in Malaysia..if you happen to see Rogaine for sales in my website there are direct referrals from Amazon Suppliers which I intend to target the US market only. For local, I do suggest buying from Pharmacies..price a little bit higher but much easier to bring in.

If you are looking for Rogaine Foam in Malaysia, you might want to try KLCC Guardian or any big pharmacies..I can order for you if you want, just let me know smile.gif

Nioxin is a good scalp cleanser. Initially i have used Nioxin System 1 before I changed to regular shampoo. FYI, Nioxin does not stop Pattern Baldness. What it does is condition your hair and remove pollutants. As the real cause of Pattern Baldness is not totally related to your scalp condition, Nioxin is not entire effective on its own to reverse hair loss. You will need other products as well to get your hair back effectively.

One more thing i would like to advise you. I noticed you tie your hair up often. Try not to tie it too tight or you might end up worse. There is a condition known as Traction Alopecia where you can dislodge good hairs when you tie it up too tight. If you have Pattern Baldness, the good hairs that you pull out will grow smaller and finer the next time, accelerating your condition.

You can read about Nioxin System 1 in my Product Reviews page here

Cheers! icon_rolleyes.gif

Hai..so wad shampoo can stop hair loss then?
*
Dear Munk,

Shampoo can not possibly stop Pattern Baldness. However, if you are suffering from this condition I suggest you find shampoos that contain less chemicals. There are a lot of very harsh chemicals in regular shampoos like Sodium Laureth Sulfate, DMDM, DEA, TEA and phlatates that can be potential health hazards in the long run. Avoid those.

For hair loss sufferers, look for shampoos that coontain Vitamin B Complex proteins like Panthenol, Biotin, Aloe Vera and Rosemary. If you have oily hair, find those with lemon extract too. In short, try to find an organic shampoo like from Body Shop. It works well together with your other hair loss treatments.

i wan order , but may i know the price 1st ?
wat is the differences btw rogaine foam n ROGAINE?
*
Dear Modric,

Rogaine will costs you around RM 180 for 1 months supply. You can get it in any major pharmacy. If you can't get it, consider getting Minoxidil 5%. Tell your pharmacist that you want Minox 5% and he will recommend you. Rogaine is also Minox 5% formula, just the brand name is more famous.

As what is the difference between the 2, Rogaine foam disperse foam, making it easier to apply while the normal one is liquid. But since you need to apply it to your scalp and not your hair, I find that the liquid one is more logical to use..furthermore it's a little cheaper.\

QUOTE(surferx @ Aug 6 2008, 04:04 AM)
I need help. I have no history of loss of hair or male pattern baldness in my family. But in the past week, I'm starting to realize thinning of hair on side top left (nearly on the back). Then when it got worse and i took a picture of my scalp and saw the balding going on there... I had maybe inadequate sleep for the past week (maybe a little stress but not THAT stressed) but it didn't happen before when i had even less sleep! Its not in small patches and it only affects that part of my scalp. What's wrong with me?? I didn't anticipate this at all, and I'm only 19. Is this related to some thyroid related disease? I want some confirmation before going to a doctor because its really expensive here and I don't want to waste my money only for the doctor to tell me you'll be fine.
*
Dear surferx,

Are you diagnosed with a thyroid problem? If you are diagnosed with either hypo or hyperthyroidism, then it may be a cause for your hair loss.. But since you are mentioning about reclining hair line on the top left and back, then it shows symptoms of early stage Pattern Baldness. Together with your age, most cases of severe Pattern Baldness will start at this age. Based on some diagnosis of a few of my friends, your situation might worsen further if you do not treat it. I strongly suggests you see a doctor soon or you can participate in my website's free diagnosis program for free.

I am currently arranging with my friend, a Dermatologist from Singapore to provide help and free diagnosis for hair loss sufferers directly from my website and the page will be up soon. I will keep you updated.

As for now, try getting Vitamin B Supplements to keep your hair thick.

American diet contains a lot of salt and meat..which can stress out your body. That is why most Americans will suffer from hair loss.

No, no there's no baldness on the back..its more like on the side left, i took a picture of my top scalp, and it seems fine. I will consult a doctor soon but where do I start? Just go to a normal clinic?
*
If that is the case, i don't think it's Male Pattern Baldness since your condition only appears to the left side. It's either Traction Alopecia or some other related condition like thyroid problems or some minor scalp infection. Do consult your doctor or a dermatologists ASAP.

How to define is it MPB ? How derma is going to define it ?
I'm having hair loss and no idea how to solve it.

Anyone can help ?

thanks

MPB stands for Male Pattern Baldness. If you have a pattern of receding hair line that usually starts from the top of your head and the front, then it's classified as Male Pattern Baldness. Usually it will take a course of few years because you will notice significant hair loss. Check out my page on the Norwood Scale to find more information about the hair loss progress.

thinking of sex has nothing to do with hair loss man...however if you are thinking too much of sex...it means that you have too much hyperactive male Testosterone known as Dihydrotestosterone..the main cause of Male Pattern Baldness..so you see some people that are sex crazy are more exposed to MPB...

This is what my wife is using now: Biotin B-Complex Thickening Shampoo. She's not suffering hair loss, but has thin fine hair. After about 2-3 weeks notice hair a bit thicker.
*
Yup this is a great shampoo...Biotin is a very important hair vitamin under the Vitamin B complex group. You can see my article on this product in my Organic Shampoo for Hair Loss Page

Can you please write a review about the shampoo to let people know what you think of the shampoo?
