Sell already, don't look back. Use to proceeds to buy other stocks, or invest in properties.

AA may rise to above 3.00, but who knows your new investment may give 30% ROI biggrin.gif

And, if you use nominee account, it will take a few days for the investment bank/brokerage firm to credit it to you account.

It doesn't make sense.
So Malindo is handled by experienced people with strict safety procedures and standard while it's parent company Lion Air is not?  rclxub.gif
*
Malindo and Lion Air - same owner, but different management.
Lion Air owns 49% of Malindo. By definition, Lion Air is NOT the parent company of Malindo.

Malindo and Lion Air - different managements. Not sure if Malaysia's safety standards are different from those of Indonesia's.

ANA May End Partnership With AirAsia for Japan Discount Carrier

ANA Holdings Inc. (9202), which owns a majority stake in a Japanese discount carrier set up in partnership with AirAsia (AIRA) Bhd., said it is considering dissolving the tie-up.
Ending the partnership in the venture, AirAsia Japan Co., is one option and no final decision has been made, Megumi Tezuka, a spokeswoman for ANA, said by phone today. ANA may buy out AirAsia’s 33 percent stake in the venture, which started flights last year, she said.
Tokyo-based ANA would continue operating the business as a low-cost carrier from Narita airport even if the partnership with AirAsia is dissolved, Tezuka said. ANA will acquire AirAsia’s stake in AirAsia Japan, Nikkei reported earlier today, without saying where it got the information...

AirAsia's business model is said to be not well accepted in Japan, yet. Maybe it's a good move to just simply exit the market.

Japan's ANA to end join budget airline venture with AirAsia

(Reuters) - Japanese airline ANA Holdings (9202.T) said Tuesday it will end a joint budget airline venture with AirAsia BHD (AIRA.KL).

Started in August 2011, the joint low cost carrier failed to win over Japanese travelers, which ANA has blamed the lackluster performance on poor marketing and a difficult to navigate booking website.

ANA said it will continue to operate the budget carrier as a wholly owned subsidiary.

Air Asia and ANA executives had been unable to find common ground on cost management and other issues.

Bhatia offers to buy Tata's share in AirAsia India

If Bhatia buys Tata's share, then it will be the largest shareholders of AA India, right?
That does not sound good. Similar situation as AA Japan, whereby ANA was the largest shareholder, at 51%.

Sorry, I'm rather new here ...

I'm a noob. What's support level?
*
Support level 2.00 means that many people will start to collect when the price drops to 2.00. Hence the chance of it going below 2.00 is little.

This is only true in short term though. Anything can happen in long run.

Rakuten to invest in AirAsia Japan

JAPAN’S top e-commerce site operator Rakuten will enter the air travel business by allying with Asia’s biggest low-cost carrier, AirAsia, a report said yesterday.

Rakuten is preparing to make a capital injection in AirAsia’s Japanese unit, possibly next year, the Toyo Keizai economic magazine said on its online edition.

Two or three more Japanese companies may also put cash into AirAsia Japan, it said.

The Toyo Keizai said one of the likeliest ideas was that Rakuten and AirAsia could hold a maximum one-third each of the Japanese unit’s shares with the remaining one-third held by a combination of other Japanese firms.

Public broadcaster NHK said talks were being held with the aim of Rakuten getting a stake of around 15 to 19 per cent for a little more than one billion yen (RM31.53 million).

Japan’s aviation law limits a foreign equity stake in a Japanese airline to one-third.

The new carrier could operate flights linking central Japan’s Chubu Centrair airport with main Japanese destinations, the Toyo Keizai said.

The magazine quoted a senior official at the transport ministry as saying it was aiming to start flight services next year.

From what I know, other LCC in Japan use hybrid model. But Tony believes that AA's 'pure LCC' model is the way to go.
