Well, he might be lucky since US regulators are looking into speculation of commodities futures; limiting speculation positions and controlling margins. If that's the case, then you might see declining oil prices.

Also, not to mention AirAsia doesn't disclose its fuel hedging policy in specifics, and its debt management. Remember that the AirAsia's debt is in USD and looking at US tresuries, the expectations are that the US IR will go up pretty soon. AirAsia claims 90% of its debt is hedged against any negative upward movement of the dollar. However, i have yet to see any specifics.

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ May 30 2008, 04:42 AM) but if the hold on longer won't hurt their reputation also Well, i could have sold at 1271 since i had a sell order at that price but decide to leave it since technicals are showing CI breaking the current downtrend. We'll see. wow you're brave to LONG in the month of June |

Sorry, but i have to agree with other analysts. GAMUADA is a strong sell. The vietnam market is struggling with higher inflation and with rapid credit tightening along with higher interest rate, the property scene REALLY doesn't look good.

QUOTE(Mikiyo @ Jun 1 2008, 07:18 PM) Mikiyo, orders are done through telephone to your FBR. (Futures Broker Representatives)Try speculating FKLI, instead of just buying, you can sell short too. QUOTE(Mikiyo @ Jun 1 2008, 07:26 PM) Buut i think for think month its better to short it first right? so better sell sell sell..then when going up d..u long long long Fundamentals are used mostly in long term speculation or investments. Many of us actually use technical analysis to judge on our decision to wether sell short or long. sounds easy....but still risky It's not easy, trust me. With a multipier of RM 50, you can use small capital to make big money or you can also lose your pants. For example: CI drops by 10 points; you are long FLKI follows suit, 10 points drop 10 points x number of contracts you bought x RM 50 Added on June 2, 2008, 10:30 am QUOTE(cherroy @ Jun 1 2008, 07:27 PM) Yes, all orders are done via telp. This post has been edited by AdamG1981: Jun 2 2008, 10:30 AM |

QUOTE(Mikiyo @ Jun 1 2008, 07:31 PM) So today ure going long right? You can trade as many times as you want in a day; buy first sell later, or sell short first buy back later. Commission is negotiable with your FBR but it is PER CONTRACT. I am shorting today. Closed my position today (bought 1267, sold 1270) However, the JUNE contract expires in June, and so forth. You can do a roll over, but you have to pay a fee to the brokerage. This post has been edited by AdamG1981: Jun 2 2008, 10:38 AM |

China Leads Asia in Retreat From Inflation Battle, Risking Bust
June 2 (Bloomberg) -- Plummeting currencies did in the first Asian economic miracle. The second may fall victim to surging inflation. Read more here: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...4K0c&refer=home Vietnam, India, China, three major Asian economies have tighten their money supply and increase interest rate to combate inflation!! Added on June 2, 2008, 10:47 am QUOTE(Mikiyo @ Jun 1 2008, 07:39 PM) ADAM the contract that u buy...the point is the CI point at that period of time right? like right now its 1266..if u buy the contract its at 1266? No, the bid and ask is higher majority of the times. This is what we call by contango. In theory, the future (FKLI) and the spot price (CI) will converge at expiry. Since we have almost 20 trading days to go till expiry, the FKLI BID AND ASK is usually HIGHER. (Again, contango) So if you would want to buy one contract, you would have to Q at 1269 since ask is 1269.5. However, to purchase or sell short one contract, you must deposit RM 6000 PER CONTRACT. So, 10 contracts, 60000 rm must be in your Futures account. This post has been edited by AdamG1981: Jun 2 2008, 10:47 AM |
