If u're looking for money...commercial pilot is the answer...

But if u're looking for challange, glamour and speed, fighter pilot, my uncle is a fighter pilot with TUDM (RMAF), now serving with MIG 29, looking forward to be Sukhoi pilot. But he still young. He always says, I fly from Kuantan to Butterwoth in 30 min only...

While my younger brother is flight engineer specialized in jet weapon (everyday holding mortar and bomb). Also serving with TUDM.

bro..
ask ur uncle..
how to become a fighter jet pilot?
damn dreaming to handle sukhoi by myself..

if i'm not mistaken, MH doesn't send their cadets to MFA, Melaka anymore. there're only 2 flying academies taking in their cadets now, HMA in Langkawi and APFT in Kelantan. those cadets sponsored fully by MH from PPL, ATPL all the way up to type rating will be bonded for 15 years (or has this been changed?). a pilot's working life can go all the way up to 60-70 years old, but if i'm not mistaken, he'll be restricted to regional flights when he's 58 years old or so. a pilot at an airline like MH will only get command on B737 (in MH's case) at around 30-40 years old, so a pilot doesn't retire at 45 unless he/she choses to. smile.gif

do try out for SQ's ab-initio cadet pilot program, they're still keen at taking in cadet pilots. fyi, i'm not a pilot but i went through the selection process for both MH and SQ, but sadly fell short of their target. good luck guys!

i heard that the authority already endorsed the extension of the career for the pilot .they can serve for the company until 65 years old(old man) tats mean they'll retire after the 65 if they still eager to fly la and be make sure they must be in a healthy conditoin..medical check up will be taken in every certain time to meet the authority's requirement so that they still eligible to fly..correct me if im wrong..

thanx for ur input yrh0413 and POYOZER...really appreciate it.
may i knw where or which academy can enrolled for pilot course?
pls provide me with the academy available in ipoh and kl...thanx.

Currently there is only 4 flying academy which u can counting on..location is sarawak, malacca, kelantan and the langkawi...so far for ipoh and KL there is no flying school for you bt they do have a flying club only..The highly recomended flying academy is malacca bcz it serve for the aviation quite a long time it have a better opportunities employed by the airlines company..it is the one of the most professional flying academy in malaysia....Somemore, MAS also sending their cadet to malacca (MFA) for under go their training.which mean they are well train by the flying instuctor i think..ngek ngek...bt be self prepare during ur flight with ur instructor..huhu..u goin to experience it..

If you are accepted by an airline, you dont need money. IF you are accepted into a flying scholl (all WILL BE ACCEPTED), you need Rm250k if you dont get scholarship/loan.

After all the exams at the private school, you will have to sit again for exams at the airlines. If lucky, you get in immediately, some wait for 2 years before getting in...very stressful.

Added on May 17, 2012, 8:35 pmCan AA pilots here explain what is expected at 4th Interview--Tea Party? Do you still get eliminated at this stage? What is the passing number?

How many months to wait IF you pass this stage?
