that is probably jake sully's twin brother got robbed and killed=P

Twin brother? I think that is Jake Sully. He probably doesn't want to get "involved" in "something" and the two agents hunted him down or something. Yeah, I believe so. In "Avatar", Jake pondered taking on their proposition of continuing his twin brother's work. Jake was only convinced to go after seeing his twin brother's body in the box.

Brilliant. 1.78:1 ratio is what the film was filmed at... and we give to see this exact frame ratio on the Blu-Ray. Brilliant!

Can't wait for it... definitely a "Must Buy"!

I got my Avatar Blu-Ray as well about 2 weeks ago. My Blu-ray player is the PS3. The video quality is unbelievable. I mean, not a single pixel out of place. Everything is absolutely amazing. My previous Blu-Ray purchase was "This Is It".

So how... anyone watched the "Special Version"?

Heard there is like additional few seconds every 15 minutes of scenes... total of approx. 15-18 minutes additional time.

it's only 8 minutes,not 15.

im just gonna wait for the BD since it reportedly has 40 minutes of extra footage and is just around the corner

8 minutes... sweat.gif I'd rather not sit for (*counts) fourth time wearing the 3D glasses and get sensory overload.

Definitely looking forward to the real BD release of "Avatar". 40 minutes? Err... I think it is like 15+ minutes smile.gif

Release in November 2010. 3D version sometime in 2011.

The Special Version BD Cover is absolutely gorgeous...

As for the '3D' version, is way too soon for me.

3D BD, in the future.
HDTV, check.
3D-capable HDTV, nope.

Oh my goodness.

Look at how many years it has been.

13 years since the last film.

So much have happened to our lives since.

Stay healthy and enjoy many more years to come!

The visual leap isn't as big as the first but you can clearly see how much more refined it is especially with the extensive use of water - that would have been a massive CGI challenge.

You can "feel" the music and the vibe it gives.

‘Avatar 3’ Gets Official Title: ‘Fire and Ash’

https://variety.com/2024/film/news/avatar-3...tle-1236102226/

QUOTE
“Fire and Ash” will pick up soon after those events, as Jake and Neytiri encounter the Ash People, who Cameron has hinted are drawn more to violence and power than other clans.

“There are new characters, one especially I think you’re gonna love, or love to hate,” Cameron said.

Oona Chaplin (“Game of Thrones”) plays the leader of the Ash People, Varang. David Thewlis and Michelle Yeoh are also joining the cast.

Along with Worthington and Saldaña, the returning cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Jack Champion, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Bailey Bass, Joel David Moore, Edie Falco and Dileep Rao.

Avatar 3 is set to be released on December 19, 2025.
